@darkninja does ya boy Jeremy have to mention Aventus in every video he does? Lol. I'm 100% he's just doing these for clickbaits and as a chance to mention his line of fragrances. How many top 10s lists can a human even do.

Scent of the Morning: Bortnikoff - Coup de Foudre Cologne
Looks like we got another drop under way. Chypre du Nord looks like an absolute smellgasm.
Edit: lol @ "Indonesian Crocodile Wood". It's like coalman got in the lab with bortnikoff to troll but actually ended up being put in production.
Ehhh not really. It did get some hype, forget why, but it is not even remotely his best seller. Oud Maximus was probably his most popular but i hated that one. Oud Monarch is pure sexors though
I personally love Amber Cologne, though i know djbrah thinks it's a touch too floral. Coup de Foudre Cologne is perfect for the fall in my opinion. It's spicy and gourmandy, but since it's in EdP rather than Extrait it doesn't suffocate you or come off too thick.
I think Amber Cologne is the best release if your style/brand allows it. Interestingly enough I think Byredo's "Lil Fleur" is the perfect alternative for Amber Cologne (although nowhere near same quality). Lil Fleur is a bit spicier without going full boozy like Coup de Foudre cologne does. I've always said Amber Cologne is my "bleu de chanel parfum" because it's a pretty effortless wear for me in any situation, BUT if one finds it too fem I'd point them to Lil Fleur first then Coup de Foudre Cologne.
I take out the little stick and swipe it on both sides of my beard stubble. Get nice wafts for 4 or 5 hours.DCA'ing FXS since Sept2022

Thanks Will.
I'll do my reading on lil fleur and the alternative. I came across two sites that seem to do samples at a reasonable price and have both Byredo and Bortnikoff so i can possibly make a sample order if I figure out other things to try.
Edit: All this fancy niche talk while rocking Boss Bottled Tonic as my SOTD lol. It was a gift, smells along the lines of Nautica Voyage so not bad.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Dats it mayne! you got two bangers and all you need. Dont fall into the trap of buying a **** of ton like us.
hahah w1ll will lead you down the path of funk damnation.
They usually have a rod like think in them that you use it to smear it on your body. some either don't have the swiper or are too powerful, so you can dip a toothpick in the attar and tap it on your wrist and then spread it.
It was originally released as a limited edition and so artificial scarcity and then it blew up on them and they released a ton more. Im not a fan of it tbh.

Damn. I've been hearing all kinds of good things about Enigma parfum cologne. That coca cola vibe plus some beautiful citruses in the opening. Sounds pretty good. Ol factoryx2 has Elysium parfum cologne for 219. Sickening price and I want that full prezzy Elysium. I think I'll pull the trigger.
If I ever meet W1LL I'ma walk up to him real slow in case I get a hit of that funk. Tricky situation that could play out in 3 ways:
1. It's Passable and you go in for the bro fist
2. Too funky, do a 360 no scope and run
3. Smells so good you bend him over and plow his angus no homo
I feel like any of those situations is possible you just never know with that guy lmao.
Yeah Lol'd at all the poverty suggestions ITT. Nothing smells like la nuit. If ya want la nuit with better performance just buy the Dua clone Midnight Rendezvous.
I'll tell you what, maybe not an everyday scent for me but you see Roja Saudi? It has a little skank in the opening, more than stuff like Oud satin mood.... But it's somehow really attractive.
Roja Candy Aoud smells similar to Saudi but with the Oud skank turnt up. Yet somehow the more you sniff it the more you want to sniff it. I remember in the very beginning I thought the Candy Aoud skank was way too much. By this weekend I was sniffing my sample all day. The freshness and sweetness in especially Saudi definitely mask the skank which you only really detect in the opening 20 mins. After that it smoothes out and gives a really nice backbone to the frag.
I don't know who really made that fragrance but... Its fukking AWESOME. I see Fragrancesline has decants of Saudi but it's $95 for just 6 ml. Holy fuk.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Lmao TRUE
I have never tried Rochas Man. First of all it's been a long time since I've seen it in stores and secondly you couldn't catch me ded with that bottle in my collection.
All I need now is some Roja and MFK in my top shelf. Maybe an Initio and Kilian and I'm donezo. I'm contemplating searching for an empty Phantom bottle to pour half my refill into for presentation.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

I'm really interested in buying some decants of some of the Roja stuff. For that price they must be pretty amazeballs.

10-19-2020, 02:37 PM #5841
Brah, i'm a big Roja fan but please do not equate price with something smelling good. A LOT of rojas are inspired after older styled fragrances which tend to be powdery and "Granny smelling" you may not like them. Something expensive like Majestic Oud will have you running to the hills.
The price and quality thing applies across all houses. You don't need to spend a ton to find good smelling stuff. but a bunch of 3ml samples from beverly hills perfumery and Osswald and test them before you spend on decants as they are not cheap. That will save you $$ in the long run.*Misc Cologne Crew*

Stopping back in to give a big shout out to the Cologne brahs who recommended "#Fierce" by DUA fragrances...
I can confirm its an absolute unit of a scent. Its a dead-ringer for the original Abercrombie Fierce from the 90's. I am averaging about 5 hours of scent and the girlfriend loves it. I have also been stopped multiple times at work and random places by women wanting to know what it was. I've also had a women at the gym ask for a spray on her hoodie... apparently her husband who is currently deployed overseas wore this back when they were dating in the 90's, so it felt nice to bring her comfort + she is going to send him a bottle to his base which will probably brighten up his deployment.
You cologne crew are an awesome bunch! Can't rep you lot enough!
Any have any recommendations for a scent the is peppery/musky/sweet like MontBlanc Legend? Are their any Invictus Colognes with type of scent profile?Outdoors brah is a purely fictitious persona. Dude that's a solid as all fuk list and I definitely agree with you on the dilution aspect. I like all my fragrances but love much less. If I could do it all over I'd probably have just as much bottles as you and make it my favorites.
And it's funny how obsessed we are in this thread, we might view your collection as small/modest and the average person would want to know why in the ever living fuk do you have so many bottles.
Since you're on that Creation E cologne time, can you tell me how it stacks up? Maybe to something like BP or other boozy scents▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

That's what I'd most likely do, and just try out some of the ones people in this thread have in their collections. Don't see myself getting a bottle of anything that expensive anytime soon. I should probably run my bottles out before I start considering more.
I already have enough expensive hobbies.

Lmao DON'T DO IT.
Roja stuff is usually very old school. Nicely blended and so on but the house is for people who are very familiar with things out there and just want to experience unique smells. Aka only bother if you're really really into fragrances. My boy below hit it 100% on the head. The more you pay doesn't necessarily mean the better you smell. Fragrance is a world of highly diminishing returns. You actually mostly pay to find something more unique that you like for yourself.
^^ One of the best posts in this whole thread.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Strong post and this is where I really appreciate some of the clone houses. They can bring you back to a scent that has been discontinued or even reformulated. Really nice story too when you gave the lady a spray and it sent her right back to the past. She probably had never smelled it in a long time and it just hit her with a ton of memories.
Question though, it's been a while since I've smelled either but isn't Montblanc Legend the one that people say smell just like Fierce? I think Montblanc Legend Spirit is the one that's supposed to be like Invictus Aqua. I haven't tried the Aqua version but I have the original Invictus. It's fresh, quite sweet and quite strong. I find it synthetic but I'll tell you what, it's easily in my top 3 most complimented scents lol. Girls go stupid for it.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

perhaps Platinum Egoiste
Maison Francis Kirkdjian Masculine Pluriel
Kilian vodka on the rocks if you like fierce
I feel like i need some MFK's and bottle of SDV and perhaps if a banger comes along but ill be good otherwhise.
As for creation E its a nice coca cola fizzy opening most likely from the cognac , bergamot spice/gingery note opening. The cologne has a bright , fizzy opening as compared to more darker boozy dark rich opening as in the kilians. Drydown you get more of the cognac , vanilla and tobacco. Drinking a vanilla coke with a lime wedge and smoking a cigar in the other hand lol atleast too me.Last edited by dj006xx; 10-19-2020 at 03:39 PM.

Yeah those MFK's I like are must haves for me.
I was always intrigued with SDV but perry ellis black vanilla absolute is the clone. And I find it extremely smooth so I never bothered looking more into the Guerlain.
That last line of the Enigma description sounds tight. I don't know how often I would wear it though. Do you find it heavier than Apple Brandy?▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

โข #Fierce: is summery, mossy, peppery, with a very solid and lasting undertone of sweetness. This direct contrast is what I feel REALLY draws women's pallets in. Its very masculine "woodsy" with a very sweet and approachable undertone that really sticks out.
โข Mont Blanc Legend: is peppery and sharp with less sweetness. It also looses its projection far quicker that Fierce... but is still 100% proximity type scent for the office.
The key difference between these two is the level of sweetness directly complimenting and conflicting with the mossy/peppery undertone. #Fierce is something that in the summer/spring will project like crazy and is very sweet where Mont Blanc Legend is ~25% less sweet and very crisp (perfect for a fall or cool summer evening).
If you enjoy peppery & sweet with undertones of mossy and musk... these two colognes are 100% the best i've smelt so farOutdoors brah is a purely fictitious persona.
