Just got my decants of Apple Crumb and Dark Knight in and did a quick half spray on each hand just to see what going on...

Both smell great. I haven't smelled Black Phantom in a few years, but it smells just like I remember it. I was in Sak's the day BP came out and was one of the first people to sample the tester at the counter. I walked away with a 1 or 2ml sample and wore it a couple times so I am vaguely familiar with it.

Apple Crumb..... a lot of benzoin, kind of sweet, kind of spicy, nice cinnamon note. I'm looking forward to giving this one a real wearing tomorrow.

Gonna come in here with a different take.

For a long time I bounced between a couple of colognes. Usually Sauvage or one of the John Varvatos colognes.

But I recently switched it up. I dont buy cologne anymore. I go over to to the womens perfume section. Bear with me guys before you start miscing out. I switched to a brand called Diptyque.
A bottle runs $100-$250 and can be found at Nordstroms. Their smells are generally floral with woodsy or leather scents. Women go ****ing ape**** for these smells. I've gotten more compliments when I switched than i've had in my entire life.

Go try it out. Nordstroms will even make you a little tester bottle of any of the scents you like so you can try it out in the world.

Yessir! I only have 1 bottle from Diptyque which is Tam Dao EDT but i do plan on picking up Philosykos in the future.

While you're in the "womens perfume section" you should check out the Byredo fragrances as well (haven't seen their fragrances in the men's section). Especially Byredo Bal D’Afrique and Gypsy Water.

Totally depends on you. I had it but recently sold my bottle. I like the smell but it’s way too 19 year old at the club for me so I was never ever wearing it. In my old age it didn’t suit me anymore

Probably, although Unknown Pleasures and Blackmail are pretty good as well. Black Vines is unusual, it's licorice, cinnamon, and ivy.

Fields of Rubus is realistic raspberry with realistic patchouli. Longest lasting fragrance I have ever used, srs. Can smell it on my skin for days. Juice is thick and oily, no watered down commercial type crap from Kerosene.



Sample pack is worth a look. 18 frags for 54 bones.

Night Vision is the worst of the line mate, or at least it gets a ton of hate.
Some people like it though. The new EDP shows promise though.

Got damn this is good. So warm and comforting, so inviting. The fist 2 minutes are heavy on the benzoin or something, it's very medicinal, it almost smells like a new pack of Band-aids. But after that.... after THAT.... it's beautiful. Apples, cinnamon, tonka, and I swear I get some leather in there as well. Just an ideal fall scent, wonderful stuff.

I agree with you 100% re the CE bottle. My limit for single frag bottle purchases is $500 out of pocket. If I cant swap my way to a partial of Great Britain, ill just remain content getting discovery atomizers in the $80-$100 range. The atomizers have been readily available since Roja tends to give them away with bottle purchases over a certain threshold.

le male parfum is surprisingly good, black iris is a slightly less powerhouse version. if you dislike interlude you'll still dislike black iris, and vice versa

I don't think they are the best projectors but above average and beat the original scent at times in performance.
