Put one spray of Acqua di Gio Profumo behind each ear, just two sprays total. 30 minutes later I walk down the hall of my school and an older lady with a mask walks by me. She turns around and tells me I smell really good.

Two things I've learned:
1. Older women and men really like Profumo, younger women are mixed on it
2. This chit is strong. Just two sprays and she's smelling it behind her mask

Lalique Encre Noir is perhaps the one fragrance in my collection that I really like but almost never wear. It's beautiful but I just can't see any occasion for using it. Any thoughts?

Profumo is my current go to, luv that chit. I haven't tried many of the popular ones since just getting back into scents but doubt I'll find a replacement soon. Curious about Bleu de Chanel but gotta sample it first.

Looking for something with incense, patchouli and heavier on the citrus than ADG.

OFG is one of those scents that to me isn't the best to wear but there's something interesting in it where it can match a mood or type of weather well.

There's no way it's real Oud imo, but sometimes the medicinal/dry elements of the Oud note can be off putting. I think Oud Satin Mood by MFK is the superior scent. Much smoother and the rose isn't grandma smelling because of how much vanilla and benzoin is inside.

The Oud in Roja Saudi Arabia is definitely my favorite though. It has a bit of skank but it's actually very attractive and addictive for some reason

So years ago back in like 2011 I bought givenchy play and I fell in love with it, they then reformulantes it as play intense which wasn’t as good now they’ve discontinued both.

It was a very vanilla based scent, the only thing I’ve smelt that came close was a Tom Ford scent I sampled at Sephora but I cannot for the life remember what it was , it’s possible it was noir something but I can’t be sure

Anyone know what it may be? Or have any others that smell similiar to the original givenchy play

tobacco vanille? I dont think i remember what giv play smells like. Looking at the notes you should try Rochas Man, coffee/caramel/vanilla vibe ( similiar to giv play intense)

Never sampled either of those. I will next order. Musc ravageur and xerjoff ivory route are hitting me in very similar ways. Strange. Though I prefer ivory, something is offensive in musc and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Actually play intense was a flanker of play and not a reformulation. There's a seller on Ebay that has a 1.7oz gift set of play for sale for $83 plus tax if you're still looking.

Agreed it's a very nice vetiver scent and many say it smells similar to Chanel's Sycamore. I find it very dark, woody, and smoky. I like to wear it on rainy days or at night.

Not gonna lie that's a cool ass discovery set, except for the cringe text on the box lmao. Would have been much nicer without.

Actually I've only had the clones of Elysium and never the original of either. I decided to go with the extrait since many say it had better performance.

None brah. There are used vintage bottles from the 1930s and earlier that people still own and use. After all that time some say the fragrance sometimes loses some strength in citrus notes but otherwise they are fine after 100 years.

I have bottles that are 10 years old and smell brand new. Just store it in a place away from sunlight and temperature fluctuations and you'll be set.

Thanks! Yeah, I just got a large bottle as a gift, and I noticed its a bit strong at first and does not last too long. I understand why people prefer the parfum version. It’s great while it’s going though. It’s a nice change, and definitely easy to distinguish from the 2 I’ve worn over the last few years (acqua di gio as a daily and creed sublime vanille for special occasions). This one is suited to cold weather I think. I look forward to diversifying/expanding the collection.
