What's a legit price to sell my 50lb PowerBlock adjustable DB's?

Paid $700 10 years ago. They are the Personal Trainer version and are not expandable. Probably used them 40-50 times since then because I got a gym membership after buying them. They're in good condition and I really don't use them. They sit in a corner of my living room for the last 8 years lmao.

I saw a thread on the Misc where people are selling on EBay for $1000. I wouldnt be a good business owner because I'd feel like that would be taking advantage of the current situation.

I put them on Craigalist in my city and lots of people have responded but the highest offer is $300 for the set so far. I have them up for $500 and thought that was a solid price. I've seen that weights dont usually depreciate in value over time that much but maybe I'm trippin'

    What u guys think?

Lol I might be remembering wrong because I bought a bench/barbell/squat rack at the time too.

I'm looking at the prices for new ones now and it looks like they're $550 or so but ship in 2 months.

    Maybe I'll ask for $400.

I see. I have never seen this before and I cannot even tell how to use them. Looks very advanced.

I have used the other ones and I would have paid 60 for them as they weren't as comfortable as having plates and the dumbbell.

Good luck with your sale man

Lol you just take the slider out and slide it back into the weight you want. Takes 2 seconds to change weight.

And yeah, powerblocks are the GOAT in terms of comfort. Doesnt dig into your thigh or anything when getting in position for presses.

I have the 125# version, been using them for 4 years so I don't have a million dumbbells at home.

They are adjustable from like 20 lbs - 50 lbs in increments of 2.5 lbs. Buying all those different weights in dumb bells would be super expensive.

Had the 70lb pair in college. Bought them at a garage sale for $100 iirc, it also came with the stand. Have no idea what happened to them. Cool story I know. No way anyone is paying a grand for those, ebay is just too much ****ery.

Haha yeah, I had a bunch of lowball offers for sure. Like "will you take $100 since they are 10 years old and brand new they cost $339"

I just lol'd and said nah they could buy the new ones but have to wait until May to restock and ship

During these days when everything is sold out and overpriced?

I've seen a pair of 40 lbs spinlock dumbbells (the cheap ones made with cement filler and plastic coating), go for $120.
So who knows what you can get for it. Probably a lot.
