    Srs, gyms are closed here and my legs are already returning to it's twink state. What can I do here?

    Had to laugh at this, given the lockdown isolation we have in UK. I'm alone in the house and not even supposed to be going NEAR people, let alone have them sit on my shoulders.

    Your answer OP; anything you can,

    bodyweight squats or even with whatever household weight you can SAFELY put on your back or shoulders.
    calf raises on stairs (hoping you at least have ONE step in your property)
    one-legged squats

    Luckily I at least have a basic home gym set-up so can do lightweight squats/SLDL, seated extension....better than nothing although nothing like what there is at the gym.

    If you can do them, pistol squats holding a DB, plate, kettle bell or barbel. Also, Bulgarian split squats, one-legged squats (back leg up on low chair), reverse and lateral lunges, single-leg RDL...all with enough resistance! Those are just a few basics and not any plyometrics that might annoy the neighbors below you

    Since all of this bull **** has started, ive been running stairs at a building downtown. This is the most sore my calves have been in awhile. Every other step to hit more quads. I do variations of speed ladder work on the stairs for variety. Killer cardio as well.

    DON'T DO IT if it hurts your knees in any way, shape or form! Strict (and controlled) form is critical when performing pistols!! You're probably not leaning back and pushing off from your heel, staying flat-footed.

    Next best, imo- split squats and single-leg (back leg on low-moderate platform) squats instead. Step-ups on a high and very sturdy chair (I'm assuming no plyo box?) is another good one.

    I gotta try this as soon as I can get back to the gym (the OV barbel pistol!!)! Sick!! I love it!! I can do a 75 lb. barbel at hip- front raise level, but I've never tried them with weight OV!! Nice!!

    Just watched the video! You can see how hard pistols truly are, because even this extremely muscular and powerful athlete was concentrating hard on balance and control through the full ROM. No one is "weak" if they cannot perform this skill. They're just not technically easy to do through full ROM.

    I've read in prison they would take some kind of bar and wrap both ends with tons of newspapers and magazines or hang a bucket full of water or other heavy material on each end and squat with that.
