    High Blood pressure at 16

Im 16 and im diagnosed with hypertension, no family history, I compete in powerlifting and yet my blood pressure sat around 150/80. Did EKG and my heart and kidneys are fine, the only thing that the doctors were worried that caused it was my familys history of hyperthyroidism but the results came and I do not have hyperthyroidism.

Doctors gave me medication and also gave me some natural herbs since they think it is cause I'm just naturally always stressed out and worried.

Atm my blood pressure sits around 140/60 which is not perfect but its getting better hopefully. The medication has reduced my anxiety by alot and i feel a lot calmer, the only negative thing i guess is that its harder for me to hype up at the gym for really heavy lifts.

Is there anything i can do naturally to lower my blood pressure ? my diet is on check, I drink alot of water everyday, I'm not obese, I weigh 68 kg at 170cms.

You cannot list medications on this forum. You should edit your post and remove that.

How much sodium do you get in daily? If it's more than 2300mg, try to reduce it. If you don't do cardio, start doing it. Not much you're going to be able to do otherwise if you don't have excess bodyfat to lose.
