Impossible to give a single number answer. It depends on how much muscle you have and how lean you are to start.

For some people it can take a year and they still don't notice much change... for example if you went from 180lbs @ 30% bodyfat to 170lbs @ 20% BF, you wouldn't look a lot different - even though you lost 20lbs of fat and gained 10lbs of muscle. It's a necessary step along the way though.

And don't just focus on one bodypart or you will waste a lot of time and be very unproductive towards your goal. Do an entire body workout like Fierce 5

You'll probably notice an increase in strength before you notice a change in appearance. Something tells me that you are more concerned with appearance. There's nothing wrong with that. Just make sure you follow a balanced program, and not going to the gym 3x a week and just doing bench presses and curls.

I agree with the above^^^ there is no specific time to where you might see some gains.
It will be different for different people.
You need to train intensely enough to stimulate muscle hypertrophy with good technique, feeling the chest, and the right exercises for you personally.
Also you need to be eat enough protein for muscle building and enough rest for recovery.
I suggest you do some research on each part of the puzzle.
No one going to have the perfect answer for you.
    Good luck.

That's not true. Protein synthesis is probably no longer elevated above baseline - but tissue remodelling can continue for weeks.
