    Prison Workouts, Covid 19 Lockdown 2020

    Yup yup, title says enough.

    This isn't my usual approach, but what am I supposed to do with all the gyms closed? I'm back to powerlifting when they open again. Signature has my main journal.

    This is experimental and subject to change daily.

    Day 1 today went to 1 park and 1 school, found a couple of useful stations:

    Park, circuit training

    Dips
    bw x 10, 10
    + 19 lb backpack x 10, 10

    Walking lunges
    10 lb barbell x 12, 12
    barbell + backpack x 12, 12

    RDL
    10 lb barbell x 15, 15, 15 15

    Pulldown
    10 lb x 10, 10, 10 10


    School

    Pullups
    bw x 8, 8, 6, 8, 5, 8, 7 = 50

    Squat
    Big heavy pole x 10, 10
    Big heavy pole + 19 lb backpack x 10, 15
    Pole weighed maybe 200 lbs. Got some funny looks while I was setting it up and taking it down. No worries.

    Overall success. Big score with squats, but I really need heavier loading for those hammies.

    I need something more for chest and back. Landmine press is just too light, unless I start to weight the pole, and even then it's a vertical press. Guess I'll try weighted pushups at home.

    Good mornings seem like the way to go. Really feel the glutes and erectors.

    I think legs are covered with squats and good mornings, but I want to weight that pole with chains or something. Will check some hardware stores around here. Even if I can't weight it, I can still squat 3 days a week, 4x10-12 each day, for a total of about 30,500 pounds of squats a week. Each rep is low intensity but I can keep volume high.

    Curfew gonna start on Thursday. F*king corona, go home, nobody likes you.

    On a lighter note, I want to name this pole that's gonna save my leg gains. Was thinking "Wilson" from the movie "Castaway."

    The 20 rep sets are the way to go.

    Banded standing rows, 25 kg
    4 x 15
    Almost not worth doing. I'll do weighted inverted rows on the playground.

    Just trying out the resistance band since gf brought it to me today. Banded pushups are a keeper. Next time I'll add the backpack. No vids since I do these in my underwear.

    Thailand has a lot of these small outdoor gyms. The equipment is too light to build much muscle, but there are some good finds around. Better than no gym at all, that's for sure.

    Bit heavier backpack today with 7 full bottles. Each bottle is 1.5 liters, so the backpack is about 10.5 kgs / 23 lbs. I'm guessing Wilson weighs about 90 kg, so maybe I'm squatting around 100 kg / 225 lbs.

    Those rows don't feel quite right. More of a high row movement / facepull feel. I'll keep experimenting. Had to rig this up with a stick of bamboo.

    Light on pullups today because lats are sore from pushups yesterday.
