How has Covid-19 affected your job/business/income ?

Been lining up doctor's appointments 3 months out (takes forever to see some of these orthopedic surgeons ffs)...all are getting cancelled...shouldn't have to pay premiums to insurance right now if I can't even use my policy...so pissed.
Software eng...work luckily has moved home so I save an hour of commuting minimum.

Know this feeling. Apparently 80% of jobs on my home furnishings side of things have been cancelled & I just missed a call from a pregnant woman. Hold on to your nuts boyos.

My coworker is the head of school bus logistics in a county in NV. He took the week off for march madness. Now they basically closed everything down until May so his week he took off is not counting as PTO and is getting more time off with pay.

Sadly, my friends in Denver have been screwed by the shut down. Both have been laid off because they practically shut down the city until May.

I work in Logistics. I am forced to work at home now. Basically everything has to keep moving to prevent shortages.

All elective procedures are being canceled right now for obvious reasons. You are paying your premium so that you can receive urgent/emergent care if you get sick/hurt and require immediate attention. Your calf implants can wait.

I am in healthcare, essential patient facing personnel so I am still coming to work as usual. This week we have started increased restrictions on patients and employees, screenings at the door, cops everywhere on campus (academic center) ensuring you are essential personnel and not in areas you don't need to be in.

We have had COVID positive cases, just waiting for the massive influx of patients once **** hits the fan any day now. Happy to have work, but very scared about my exposure risk and potentially taking it home to family.

Never has it been more beneficial to be a teacher. Fully paid like normal but obviously no school or work to do. May be going into the longest summer vacation in history.

Had already put in my notice but they ended up closing the place anyway so same result. I just got to get out of there a bit earlier which was fine with me.

supes trying liaise with the main IT branch to get us to work from home when **** hits the fan. There's only 2 cases here. Both foreigners and both are quarantined.

hopefully it stays that way.

Even doctors are getting laid off or hours/salary cut. I definitely thought the doctors would be safe in the pandemic but i guess not. Someone in this reddit thread said their hospital is losing 3million per day because nobody is coming to hospitals anymore all the surgeries are postponed.

One of my tenants tried to start laying the groundwork to default in rent because the prime minister was hinting at something like that but it never happened so I’m like nah man just pay the rent

My boss shut down (construction) yesterday, so I am enjoying tequila for breakfast and am going to work on my cars and backyard.

Wife and I both own our own businesses - but we’ve managed conservatively, so we are both in decent shape for the time being. We’ve both applied for loans through the CARES act, but it’s sounding more and more like we may not qualify given the demand and our current statuses. That’s worrisome because the financial repercussions of this situation will likely display latency - so we may not need the money now to keep our employees, but it may be very much needed six+ months from now.
