    First workout day during mandatory "social distancing"

    Gym closed.
    Backpack loaded with water bottles, 21 lbs.
    Wife: 150 lbs
    Wife's dumbbells: 24 lbs each (max).

    Legs
    Squats:
    Put on backpack, lift wife across arms, 3 sets of 10. Surprisingly tiring.
    Split squats:
    Put on backpack, pick up dumbbells, elevate rear foot, 3 sets of 15 each leg.
    Single leg romanian deadlift:
    Put on backpack, pick up dumbbells, 3 sets (10, 15, 20) each leg.

    Back
    Go to playground and find bar.
    2 sets of 5 pullovers
    2 sets of 10 pull ups
    2 sets of 5 tuck front lever pull ups
    2 sets (10 and 16) alternating arm inverted rows

    Burnout set of bicep curls

    If you've got high enough ceilings, sit your wife on your shoulders and squat that way. You can both wear weighted backpacks, and she can hold the dumbbells, weighted bottles, etc.

    If anything lift her across your arms like you already did, she can wear a backpack in reverse and also hold dbs or anything else in her hands resting on top of it.

    The other way will be tough balance wise for both of you and put her at risk.

    In other news, after 17 months in the gym including high rep sets of RDL with 300 lbs, and never feeling any mind muscle connection to hamstring hip extension, I now have hamstring DOMS from those little baby weight sets. Still no mind muscle connection, but I guess proof that my hamstrings work properly is nice.
    I can only guess I got more ROM than usual.

    They are super tiny, but more useful than nothing!
    I actually hit my hamstrings with that light weight.
    Also they are ok for single arm presses, doing both at once.

    At my gym we only have dumbbells up to 100 so for rows I add sandbags for extra weight. Might try something like that with these - a weight around the wrist. If I can think of some way to rig it.

    I kid you not, I was real apprehensive about bodyweight workouts - got a barbell coming next week - but fuark the DOMS - my legs absolutely killed for like 4 days. My kids would randomly jump on me on the sofa and I nearly hit the roof lol - seriously haven't felt my legs like this in a long time. GDJM

    We've done acroyoga in the past but she didn't want to sit on the shoulders. We put one of the powerblocks in a backpack that she wore in the front for 200 lbs today. With most of the weight so far in front it's pretty tough.

    Try goblet squatting her, which will bring her closer to center - hands under armpits, she can wear the backpack with water bottles, hold the powerblocks and tuck her knees back. We'll get it right eventually.
