Flipped my O call from yesterday for about a 90% gain, I wish the premiums weren’t so insane on Wayfair or Etsy. I’m sure both are going to have nice gains from earnings.

I’m going with CVS and FSLY calls

The IV on FSLY must be insane. And they've gone up so much so quickly how much more can they go up on earnings?

Compared to the other options I’ve been doing like O and CVS, it’s about triple yet still much less than NKLA lol. In terms of gains left, it’s tough to tell. That whole sector feels like it doesn’t have a ceiling sometimes. I’ll be watching it closely looking to get it both ways on the swing. It’s already up 40% this week

I didn’t take nearly as aggressive a position with it compared to the others mentioned though.

    Lmao ^

Been playing the market for years and still learning new chit. Didn't know there was a 5 min "blackout" period before the open and right after closing. Meaning before opening or after closing you're unable to trade pre market or after hours for 5 min.

I'm starting to enjoy playing companies before earnings and after earnings too, however not holding through. Made nearly a 10% gain in 4 hours yesterday using this method with NKLA.

lol @ the selloffs with ATVI, NKLA and a few others

Also lol @ people buying DIS, the stock has gone nowhere in a long time and they cancelled their dividend which was already poverty. I can't believe some of you guys are buying this dogchit

its just bets thinking they will report some bs good news before earning happened.

you know the usual pump and dump with new stocks.

they are down 12% after hours.

robinhood traders cannot move the stock alone.

someone else was making big bets and than waiting for other to bag hold before they jumped shiip.

just like kodak, moderna etc. nothing new.

    ..............

volume this week is so low. I guess expected its August.

gotta wait for those fake vaccine headlines to pop up any day now.

SPY at $330 is just $7 short of all time high before it all went to hell in March.

pretty phucking surreal if SPY gets to ATH end of this week or next week.

only thing that has insane volume is Silver (SLV)

I really should get some VIX calls again.

    Not robinhood per say

But retail investors this year have finally proved that they can affect stock price.

Honestly I focusing on investing in technology companies, biotechnology, and manufacturing. the latter two biotechnology and manufacturing are a tad bit risky. But SAAS(Software As a Service) companies are pretty nice because to scale all they need are more servers which they can get with AWS. In addition a lot of these companies are run by engineers and not business majors; thus, their approaches tend to be more analytical and less full with bull****. I am a bit bias given that I operate in software/tech. These companies are the ones that were the most resilient to the whole COVID-19 pandemic. Not only their values remained but they increase since their operations are digital.

Don't believe see it for yourself.

In addition they grown considerably compared to NASDAQ, S&P 500, Dow Jones.

Problem here is finding one that isn't overvalued to fuark. PE ratios over 100 are not uncommon for these companies, and they also don't really have any moats, because it's pretty easy to get into the SAAS game.

I did brah, and it confirmed what I was saying.

I mean, jesus, Zoom is on there at 1500 PE ratio and 75B market cap. Just GTFO with those valuations. How much money do you think it would take to create a web conferencing app? Hint: Nowhere near 75B.

    This is straight gambling brah.

Does anyone see value in investing in Intel right now? Price is around $49, down from $60 a few weeks ago and nearly $70 ATH

As I've spent more and more time in this thread I've realized it's not such a great idea to be buying stocks as they are near their ATH even if they have a good potential upside. Starting to think it's better to be long and buy lower, which is obvious, but newbies tend to ignore that advice

Which is the whole reason people want to mess with them. The potential profit off them is insane. If you had some money you didnt care about then taking advantage of the past few months trading options was definitely the play.
