GM is offering 0% financing for 7 years and 4 months deferred payments and other companies are doing something similar.
I don't need a new car, but really interested to see what deals are out there new and used in the coming weeks/months.

Why would you buy a car that you don't need?

No I am not. If you can barely scrape the payments together for 7 years it is far more of a liability than an asset. Lots of vehicles have a 3 year warranty. So what happens in year 5 when it breaks down and you don't have the money to fix it and yet you still have 2 years of payments left?

Yeah it's a good time.
I should have taken advantage of the power dollars program plus 90 day no monthly payment for the scat pack. I would have owned it instead of leasing it. Brand new 2020 scat packs for 35k. And i still see some used ones, 2018's for like 34k.
Phuck. I should have waited another month. Oh well.

100% disagree. It depends on your financial situation. If you're good with money and your rig is getting long in the tooth, it's a great deal.
You can finance the whole thing including sales tax, have 7 years of free money. Why front money now when it's free over 7 years. $1 today is worth more than $1 tomorrow.

On the other hand..
If the sticker is 20k, 7 years no interest..aren’t they going to take significantly less for all the cash up front?
And especially now, manufacturers stopping producing, very few buyers, stock everywhere.. my theory would be they’d take 12k cash just to keep the lights on at the dealers. May try it.2023 bertie awards 2024 nominations

Literally contradicted yourself within your first 2 sentences. You don't disagree because I am right. IT DEPENDS ON YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION. If your chit isn't in order and you can barely scrape up the monthly payment each month YOU CAN'T AFFORD THE VEHICLE. Plain and simple. This is why people have been outta work for less than an month and already can't pay their bills because hurr durr 0% and I can afford $300 a month currently even though that means I can't save any money.
For the rest of us ready and willing to either pay cash or pay 50% up front obviously it is a good deal. Better deal is to get a discount paying all cash.Fitness connoisseur

Its a good time to buy a car if you think you wont need to sell the car in the near future for cash, since the economy is gonna be struggling for a while after this. If you think you can spare the cash for the next few years, then its a good time to buy.
I hope you understand what Im trying to tell you.IW3725-04, Black 116520, White 26320
