That's what warranty is for lol.
I thought about getting a pre-owned scat pack. But because they hold value well, the price difference between a 2 year old scat with under 20k miles vs a brand new one with like 3 miles was only 3-4k difference.
Also definitely check the RT's market in your area, because around here, RT's don't hold value at all.
The 6.4 models do.

Jeez really? I didn't know that either. Now i'm starting to understand.
Damn dude, idk if this is a good buy then lol. I mean the car is awesome, even the RT. But at 40k when it's all said and done, and only the RT with a faster depreciation rate, and no warranty?
IMHO, i wouldn't. But good luck and enjoy if you still do.

honestly I'm not seeing it. went to Jaguar and Mercedes dealerships this weekend looking for a replacement for my mom's recent lease return. The only "deals" were the typical 2019 leftovers that they want to get rid of. Nothing COVID specific.
If anything, COVID seemed to be causing supply issues, particularly at the Jag dealership the sales manager told me that whatever he has on his lot is all he can sell since no car are coming through the ports and other dealerships aren't keen on trades since they aren't getting new cars in.
This is all as it relates to NEW cars and this is in SoCal, car capital USA.

Yep. I'm most curious about the supercar bubble bursting though. So many special edition this and that, old ass Ferrari's selling for $40MM. Let's see what happens... Any good auction sites where I can see what they're going for in the real market? I can see the prices on Cars.com but who knows what they end up selling for.

Trying to buy a car that I priced pre-COVID. Same car that’s been on the lot for seven months and they won’t even sell it for the same price.
Said because they weren’t being built that supply is too low.... ok but it’s been sitting for seven month.
My best guess is some manufacturers are going to beg politicians for a bailout and aren’t looking to sell low.

The dealer I talked with a couple weeks ago said they can't keep new stock in if it's under $50K so they're strictly at msrp+ on the new ones and most are sold while they're still in transit. High end cars they have some in stock but still no breaks. MSRP or get out. Used are the only things they have any wiggle room with and those are still over book, by a lot in some cases.

^^ if you keep printing money, which seems to be the western way, then people will spend it, just no sense holding it. My best chance is if the exchange rate moves in my favour, but the U.K. has the same strategy unfortunately.
At the same time, economic reality hasn’t yet hit home. I will wait patiently2023 bertie awards 2024 nominations
