Just went...Did a 360 and walked out. No parking, I was lucky enough to get a spot right as someone pulled out after a few mins of driving around in circles. Get out of car, walk to the front, no carts to be seen. Finally get a cart out in the parking lot, walk into the store and every check stand is open with 25+ people in each line with full carts or multiple carts. The fuking lines were going into the isles and produce section which created a wall blocking other shoppers. Walls of lines everywhere and half the people getting groceries are fat.
I'm a pretty laid back guy but if you fuk with my food I start to go caveman mode. Trying not to be mad but its tough. What a joke. Guess I'm going on an unintentional cut now.
How many people here are dealing with this bullchit? I'm jealous if you are living in a less populated area and have the grocery store to yourself.

How many of you have been to the grocery store today?

My son works at a grocery store and said Tues night was totally normal. Today I went to the warehouse type store like Costco and it was legit insane. No carts. Got lucky walking up to store when a guy with a cart came along and I waited while he loaded up his stuff and got the cart. Went in and out of an entire area that is usually all chicken there was only wings left. Shelves totally empty. Grabbed a pork loin and ground beef plus some frozen veggies and eggs. Lines were all the way to the back of the store. Going out people were at the doors waiting for people with carts to come out. A guy followed me to my car and while we were walking people were walking up asking if they could have my cart. I was like, nope, he's got it. He even helped me put the stuff in my car. lol
I imagine the grocery stores shelves are pretty empty tonight. I'm going to go before work tomorrow. Hoping they've restocked some over night.~ In a world where you can be anything, be kind ~

It is so weird. Costco, Walmart and target are pandemonium and empty as far as toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, top ramen, and water. However, go to the local Vons not on a major blvd and things are pretty normal, maybe less paper towels and toilet paper but nothing approaching the crowds at the big stores.
We stocked up on dog and cat food for like four/five months and we have a nice supply of all the essentials in case mass hysteria takes over.

I get my dogs food delivered on an auto plan. So at least don't have to worry about him.
Yeah, people seemed to be going nuts on the bread and rolls. I don't eat bread but hope I can find some rolls for my son for next week so he can have sandwiches for lunch.~ In a world where you can be anything, be kind ~

I thought about hitting the grocery store on way home from warehouse store but was like F that. I was all crowded out. lol
Thank goodness my son was able to run over here and let my doggo out. Would have felt bad if he would have had to wait an extra hour for me to get home tonight.~ In a world where you can be anything, be kind ~

I pay a $10 delivery fee every time I think. I’d say on top of that, things cost an average of 10-15% more.
It’s more than worth it.
Being able to buy back some of my time wasted on things like mowing grass and buying groceries is one of the best parts about being older and more settled with my finances.
Just between those two things alone, I’ve bought back two or three hours every week.
