Thoughts on Fat Free Mozzerella Cheese on a Cut

Cuts are all about sustainability. If as long as you are getting a caloric deficiency and your macro targets are hit, you're good. IF you wander off your cut, you're ****ed.
So I recently found this fat-free mozzerella cheese from walmart and it's actually suprisingly good (they have cheddar too but it taste like ****). I love cheese and it's what helps me stay on track with my cut. I'm not really picky with my food. I eat the same thing pretty much every day:

    - 2 packs of instant oatmeal.
    - 8 oz 93/7 beef with 90 grams basmati rice. (w/ spinach)
    - 8 oz 93/7 turkey with 90 gram basmati rice. (w/ spinach)
    - whey protein shake with banana and peanut butter blended.

The beef/rice and turkey/rice, I choose a different seasoning each day for variety and sustainability. BUT I also sprinkle 2 servings of the Fat Free Mozzarella cheese on top (4 servings per day). It sounds weird, and it is weird, but I enjoy it and it all fits my macros at 185P/45F/240C.

53% of my protein comes from the beef/turkey.
13% comes from my protein shake.
21% comes from the Fat free mozzarella cheese
    13% from other sources.

The fat free mozzarella contains 9P/0F/2C per serving! I am getting 36g of protein per day from this stuff. I just feel like it is a little too good to be true. Is it a bad source of protein? I love eating it on my meals, and it makes them more appetizing to me which helps me stay on track.

    What are your thoughts?

I’ve had it when I was on a cut in the past and there’s not much taste to it

I just felt something cold and rubbery in my mouth lol

That said..... if it helps you get through your cut and get your protein and you like it, go for it

Nothing wrong with it, just lacks the texture and flavor fatty cheese has. Like above, if it helps you out then it's the right choice. If you can eat full fat cheese and sustain your deficit then that would be the right choice. Whatever makes the boat stay afloat.

I add spinach to my beef/rice and turkey/rice mixtures. I didn't mention it because I don't factor it into my macros since it contributes very little to calorie count

That's literally the only vegetable you eat though? Have you plugged your diet into cronometer to see if you are deficient in any vitamins and minerals?

No, I also blend up large amounts of carrots, celery, broccoli and kale and fill my bathtub up with it. I then soak in it for 45 minutes before bed to absorb the minerals and slurp it all up before getting out. I didn't wanna tell anyone I did this, but I guess I did need to provide my micro breakdown since it vastly contributes to the point of this thread.

    Oh - and I take a multivitamin.

There is no point to this thread. You asked if it's ok to eat fat free cheese as if you were a toddler. It seems more important to me for your overall health and performance to focus on your micronutrient consumption as that is going to make much more of a difference than the cheese sticks you like to eat but good luck with your common sense and logic goals of 2020.

Thanks! My micronutrient soak baths seem to be very effective!

I need some pointers on developing insanely defined horseshoe triceps like yours. Any tips?

String cheese crew here. I'll go down to 2% on my cheese sticks, but God help me if I ever need to consume fat-free dairy of any kind.

He wasnt really attacking you by asking that..

And his advice on the cronometer was well placed. It's very useful for plugging holes that may be going unfilled for long periods of time.

Yeah, I use shredded cheese to add on top. Eating it plain is pretty bland and rubbery, but on top of other food makes it seem cheesy and more appetizing to me. Plus I can't complain about the easily added 9g of protein per serving.

Gotcha. Hard to complain about that. Sounds like a good fit.

Out of curiosity, if you put it on warm food, does it melt the way normal mozzarella does?

Haha yeah I understood the tone. I make sure to cover my basis of micronutrients. I usually mix in 2 handfuls of either spinach or zucchini noodles in each meal. I also add scoop of greens powder to my pre. I didn't add any of that information because I didn't think it was relevant to the question.

Yes it does. That's why I love it. As soon as my food is done cooking, I sprinkle 2 servings on top and it melts just like regular mozzarella. Very stringy

It’s basically whey isolate, I use it often. Fat free ricotta is bomb, I make a mean lean low carb lasagna with it, swapping noodles with zucchini and or egg plant and home made sauce! Works well with a spaghetti squash spaghetti bake too, and both are good on flat out bread to make a pizza (90 cals 9 grams of protein or lavash 50 cals per personal pizza with 5 grams of protein Joseph brand at Walmart) I prefer lavash gets super flaky and crunchy

If you mean sustaining as in weight, then yes, I agree. I meant sustain as in sticking to a diet plan. As in finding a cut diet that you enjoy and can follow through with.

Right. Most are. But this cheese only has 2 carbs per serving. However it doesn't say where it comes from. Fiber is 0g and Added Sugars is 0g so idk
