You can buy custom loadout drops (with scavenged cash) that allow you to use the weapons and accessories you have unlocked in normal multi-player (your typical builds). If guys have thermal optics on their kit in their usual mp loadouts then they will drop with the loadout box

Have you even played the game? The entire meta is buying your loadout with an AX-50/AR and hoping you've played (or bought) your way to a thermal scope for every weapon you own. In a BR the Charm is that (as your post indicates for some reason) every player is on the same level and your only advantage is your skill with what you are able to scavenge. A level 1 player in PUBG/Apex/Blackout/Ring of Elysium/Fortnite has the same opportunity as a level 1920 player, and its may the best man win.
Activision spit in the face of that by allowing a level 75 player to have a DECIDED advantage over a level 1 player. Moreover a Battlepass has an automatic head start over every non-battlepass player by virtue of unlocking the Grau simply for dropping $20 instead of putting in the time and effort required. The Grau is one of the top 3 ARs in the game currently and also catapults you to a headstart on a 2nd weapon (the name escapes me). Nevermind the weapon imbalance, the simple fact that a payment unlocks a weapon is, by nature, a pay to win mechanic. And now that the seed has been planted, it will only get worse from here.***Mariah Carey is my 10/10 Crew***

Same as any other games, you need to level up the weapons before you unlock advance attachments. The people he played might have a higher level than him.
How is it pay2win using scavenged cash?
Or is it because having bought the actual base game allows them to carry their MW loadout to Warzone?
For many players, they bought the base game for the purpose of playing the base game. I bought it not even knowing there will be a BG.
Now if you are entirely new and thinking that you can have an advantage if you buy the base game, no because you still need to play the base game to level up your weapons.Last edited by jinda628; 03-14-2020 at 07:18 AM.

Both of them can access but the setup is different.
With base game - you can access but you still need to loot cash in-game and bring your loadout for $6000.
Without base game - you can set-up a loadout in the main menu. Then inside the match, you also need to earn $6000 loot to bring it in.
Basically the same.
Edit:
Let me add though. The only advantage of the base game owner is that they have already leveled their game because they played the game ahead.
For new players, they need to level up the gun for the attachments.Steam - jinda28

Ok, so not as disgusting as I had thought. However, is level up ability within the BR similar to that of game modes within the main game? What about someone mentioning purchasing some pass allows to to unlock new weapons?
Besides those questions I have, I guess at the end of the day it still just seems like a chit decision to me when BR has traditionally been to drop in and your ability to loot and RNG decides your loadout. If they want to let people level up weapons in BR I guess that's a decision they are making that I just don't agree with from a game design standpoint but I don't see why they would let people bring in their already leveled up loadouts from them main game. Everyone should start fresh from the release of this "free-to-play" standalone game.

Christ, thermal scope guns are found in rare orange chests. There is a chance of them dropping every time you open one up. Ya really just want a reason to hate the game

About leveling in BR:
There are 2 games in Warzone, Battle Royale and Plunder. In BR, its hard because you are limited on leveling what you loot. That's why for new players, its better to do Plunder because its exactly the same way to level weapon as the base game.
The setup is basically giving new players a chance to level weapons in Plunder before heading to BG. I actually like Plunder more due to objectives.
For Battle Pass:
I forgot what its called but the 1st buy will let you skip 20 tiers. Depending on where you are in the game, the 1st 20 tiers may contain one blue print of some existing weapon with different attachment combinations. All weapons in the battlepass is available ingame. There are no battlepass exclusive weapons. Only unique are some camo. And honestly, it doesn't take long to unlock all the attachment of your weapon of choice. And unlocking some attachments doesn't really make a huge difference.
If you have played FPS in the past, you know no matter how good your loadout is, you still need a lot of skills to play better than others.Steam - jinda28

Yes you unlock by playing in general.
In principle, I guess yes, you buy battlepass to unlock tiers. But not all the weapons are in battlepass. And honestly, you'll be lucky to find a weapon that you really use. I think you'll find 1 or 2 that you might wanna try. Most of the weapon in there are variants of handguns and shotguns which I do not even use.
It's not like other P2W games where you can buy OP gears and it helps you with added armor, damage, resistance, etc. In COD, whatever weapon you have, if you cannot aim, its still useless.Steam - jinda28

I don't own Regular cod unless and won 1 out of 4 games. Game is fun and a joke but definitely is p2w because everyone around me just has way better load ups compared to the trash I have. Played a solo game and came 17th just running at the outer edges but died because you down someone and they just kept rezzing one another and pushing me.
Also this game is so armor dependent its a joke. I spent most of my cash buying armor or redeploying teammates then buying them armor.
Either way game is fun as **** and way more lax than CS:Go which is my main shooter. Nothing more satisfying than air striking a whole team as a solo playerLast edited by TommyRO; 03-14-2020 at 10:03 AM.

Repeating what I said earlier because I've played it for a few hours straight today.
Holy f*ck it is annoying constantly being matched with people with no mics or mics and they refuse to talk game after game after game.
It's no coincidence the two times I've finished third and another finished fifth was when I actually had two teammates who communicate.
I really, really like the gameplay of this one more than Blackout - loved Blackout too.
At this point though since I don't have friends who play this and I can squad up with on the regular, I'm hoping a solo variant is introduced soon.

This stupid fukking game should be called Crash of Duty: Modern Malware.
I've tried every reddit fix there is for this bull****. Can't play more than a few minutes before it sends me back to the desktop.“It is not so much the major events as the small day-to-day decisions that map the course of our living. . . You add your friends via their Activision name in the social area. Have them press "Y" to enter the social area and check what their name is. Sometimes their Xbox Live and Activision names are different.
I play Xbox but met a bunch of PC gamers I like playing with and we added each other that way.
Another topic:
LOL @ all the tech nerd haters. Swear you dudes are just full of misery and feel so edgy despising any "big name" games. The only real edge people who played before have is the thermal scope. If you can't aim you're gonna get stomped in this game no matter if you have a thermal scope or not. That said, they've had double XP boosts since launch for weapon XP and leveling up so just casually playing you'll be able to unlock whatever you want.

Been playing it a lot. I actually prefer the Plunder game mode more just because it's faster paced and you don't have to be SO careful about not dying. I'm a run and gun player, not a sniper, and I just don't have the patience for Battle Royale, I always wind up being too aggressive and dying early.

LOL, takes time. There's still plenty of situations where I blind side 2 or 3 players battling another squad and completely screw it up by missing half a clip 3 feet behind them and get turned on. Talk about unclutch. Game is wild, one second you're zenned out just casually roaming the map and in a split second a whole squad catches you off guard as you bust through a door.
Personally, I have issues killing people with LMGs. Since the health of a player fully loaded with armor is 250 I've found it best to get an AR and add the 60 round mag attachment so you have enough bullets to drop at least two players before reloading.

looks good and optimized. lot of people saying it runs smooth. will give it a try since its free. Fortnite is a build/edit/box fest and really annoying now. I like the gulag 1v1 fight to come back alive if you die, or teammates using cash they earned in the battlefield to buy a revive for you.
BUT time will tell how activision will handle this "Free" game. 2-3 months later it will end up pay to win and chit..*** Free Thinker Crew ***

Have gotten a few wins now, only play with one friend so always get paired with a random but we can sometimes carry. It can be pretty epic getting ganked by squad, having to reset in the gulag and come back and get a win or close to a win.
My main gripes is how easy it is to get cash and just get a loadout called in. So scavenging for weapons is pretty much useless. Within 2 minutes of dropping you can set for end game. Money should only be awarded for damage, downs, and kills. Might ease the camping a bit. They could give $500 for a down and $1500 for a kill. Maybe $2 per point of damage or something.

Yeah the loadout drops need to be harder to get. There is literally no point in sprinkling them for free across the map either. They aren't enticing enough for people to go after since it's so easy to buy one and drop it in a safe spot. Either do away completely with the free ones, or increase the price of purchased ones dramatically.

i would say that the only part that is Pay 2 Win is in order to get the best load outs that you can prebuild. you need to have alot of the attachments unlocked. In order to do that you would have to play warzone forever or puchase the main game and play multi to level up your weapons attachments.
