This is a very close fight to call. I don't see how anyone could pick a clear winner. I think Khabib will edge out a 3-2 type decision, people will complain about. It'll be similar to Reyes/Jones or Zhang/Joanna.

I think Khabib out wrestles Tony, but Tony will utilize a very active guard to keep things close.

And Tony will win the stand up exchanges while they last.

Well eating too much and cutting too late often has something to with the fact that you miss weight. I haven't often seen guys who need to cut eat tiramisu and a steak dinner or whatever he had after the tiramisu.

Mmmmmmmaybe. It may have played a *small* role, but not much. They probably had him down to about 175lbs going into fight week, figuring they could cut the last 20lbs of water. For whatever reason, his body probably held on to too much water.

He's probably was not used to these types of cuts, either. Water cuts are primarily a North American thing.

Eating the steak and tiramisu probably only made him a few lbs heavier. He missed weight by A LOT, and IIRC he had an intestinal blockage. To me, that sounds like a botched water cut. I could be wrong of course, I wasn't there.

He’s looked phenomenal in his last few fights, even after that terrible knee surgery he had a bloodbath against Pettis, his fight with Cerrone he looked great too.... Matter of fact he’s not shown any sign he’s slowing down
