You're right, Ultra Peptide 2.0 had ~400mg of creatine mono and taurine. I appreciate that it was explicitly listed on the label.
It's a pretty apt comparison when considering the protein per scoop and the price (UMP does have 30 servings vs. 24 in UP2.0).
I was a cheapskate, though, always buying the $19.99 closeout flavors from Dave. I guess I am partly to blame for them going out of business.

It was explicitly listed on the label.
And one reason given was that it was the approximate amount of creatine you'd get from a steak dinner.
And, as I recall, it was not used towards the total protein number on the nutrition label, right?
I really, really miss the strawberry UP 2.0. Banana too. But mostly strawberry.
I only bought like a dozen tubs when it was 50% off because I was about to move and I didn't realize it was gone-gone, or I would have bought dozens

So this week was my 1st week of being back on Pres, Monday I started with C4U and I felt it pretty good.... got the crazy itchies more than ever before. Yesterday I tried Dark Energy and timed my lunch perfectly, so here's my take.
Did I get flooded with some crazy rush of energy.... nope. I will say that I could feel it, but it was a more euphoric feeling than balls to the wall energy... and that was totally ok. I had energy to keep pushing through a 2 hour workout, as a matter of fact, I hit a PR in DL and felt I might have been able to do more weight had I skipped the 455 and maybe went to 465-475 as I was able to pull 455 twice. Did that and did a nice back workout and before I knew it I was an hour and a half into my workout....so def something to it. Today I will Take my DVST8 again since Ill be doing 495lb rack pulls and shoulders lets see if it feels different from my previous tries.Salty.......... like Extra salty.......

I just had it happen to me, so you have my sympathy.
What I've learned to counteract is that so long as you go under the advanced reply, you can go pack to the posting page. Amongst the text, there is some line, quote, or paragraph that is causing the error. If you cut a few chunks out at a time, you can usually isolate the part giving you the error and post. Then just post whatever it was you cut out 45 seconds later as a second reply.
In any case, BCAAs have struck me as a scam for a long time once I looked more into them and stopped bothering many years ago.
They're still calories, and a vastly inferior one than just taking straight protein that already contains the aminos you need.
I don't know what article you found, but just browsing real quickly led me to one such as this in relation to fasting. Quite a long read, but skipping to the end:
We can conclude from these two studies that BCAA infusion not only fails to increase the rate of muscle protein synthesis in human subjects, but actually reduces the rate of muscle protein synthesis and the rate of muscle protein turnover. The catabolic state was not reversed to an anabolic state in either study. Further, a sustained reduction in the rate of muscle protein turnover would be expected to have a detrimental effect on muscle strength, even if muscle mass is maintained. Muscle protein turnover renews the muscle fibers and results in increased efficiency of contraction at the single fiber level [16], which is reflected in increased strength in vivo, independent of muscle mass [17, 18].
That leads me to my own concern with BCAAs: They are still calories, and quite a hefty load all things considered, so it seems reasonable to assume that it could knock a person out of a fasted state, returning their body to normal, and negating any benefits of fasting in the first place. It could certainly vary from person to person in the same way that ketosis has some variability depending on the individual, but at the same time, BCAA drinks and powders might as well be treated as glorified light sodas seeing as the concentration of BCAAs is enough to really add up.
Something's definitely up.
Whatever the case, Twitter always finds new ways to prove that it was a mistake that is doing our world exponential harm.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

Myself, my daughter and my wife all tested positive for the ‘rona this week. Thankfully those 2 are ok. It I wouldn’t wish this on anyone (well..maybe a few people).
Can’t smell, can’t taste, barely able to keep food down and anything that does stay down flows out of me like the river Thames. Muscle fatigue, aching joints, cough and just general fatigue. I’m glad in a way that I’m the only one with symptoms as I wouldn’t want my 3year old to feel like this but my god, I wish it’d hurry up and clear off.
Chromadonks!
I’m surprised you were allowed to know the share price TBH.
Can anyone hit me up with a store code? Will love you long timeLast edited by faipdeooiad; 02-27-2021 at 03:03 AM.
