1 scoop of scivation pre kicked in stronger, then 2 scoops lol. Had 100mg theanine per scoop.

Nope, I've never had that kind of effect unless the theanine dose is higher than the dose of stimulants. For me, it adds focus while taming the stim effect without completely eradicating it.

Nutrabio PRE has 300mg of L-Theanine so you barely feel the 350mg of caffeine and even the version that use
to have Y in it you couldn't even tell it had Y. Aplha Lion use to have 300mg of L-Theanine in their SH pre
but I noticed that their new version dropped it to 150mg cause I guess they saw some of the feedback where
some said they didn't feel any energy though there were some who trained at night and loved the formula cause
they could fall right to sleep after training at night after using SH..

Ya I've heard plenty of people complain about theanine in pres, I just don't get the same reaction. Guess it's just one of those ingredients people either take to or don't.

It became label hype real fast. I found it to mellow out higher amounts of caffeine at 100 mg's

Having only tried C4 Ultimate On The Go and C4 Ultimate, I know very little about Pre Workouts. I liked them both a lot, but I feel like changing it up so I don't get used to the same formulas (I don't know if there is merit in this?) and to just broaden my horizons on what's available.

I'm hoping for some recommendations on the good stuff: some combination of energy, focus, and pumps. My workouts are normally 1.5 to 2 hours of lifting followed by 45 to 60 minutes of low intensity steady state cardio.

I think I'm looking for 3-5 g of Beta Alanine, 8 g of Citrulline Malate, and Caffeine. I'm already taking Creapure separately, but creatine in the PWO formula isn't a dealbreaker. Does that sound about right? Is there anything else I should look for? Is there anything I should be wary of?

I'm taking a look at these ones:

The first one has WAY too much L-Theanine the 2nd one is Dymatize's PW and it's pretty good on energy,pumps,
but a bit weak on focus but it's a good option, the 3rd looks good but it's light on caffeine and it would be better
if the L-Theanine was 100mg instead of the 200mg but the focus looks really good so I would opt for #2 or #3
or both so you can rotate them around each workout.

I believe it's Al****en from Morphogen Nutrition.

They have very strong formulas, private label only. $48 each, with some 10% coupons floating around, so they're definitely "premium."

Pretty expensive for 20 servings though.
As I remember you could find first two options for much cheaper.
OP C4 ultimate is also great.

Speaking of pre-workouts, I just cracked open another tub of ANS Ritual earlier this week after a long, long break. I guess it's been discontinued so I had to buy from fleaBay. Sigh.

I've used more tubs of this than any other pre-wo. It's easily my all time #1.

I dont know what makes it so damn good, but it just jives with me really well at 1 rounded scoop.

Maybe it's dat dere dendrobium extract. Heh.

PB cookie is pretty good

Chocolate PB is WAY too sweet for me nor tastes like PB and hardly resembles chocolate too.....
