Anyone looking for Hand Sanitizer, you can order some off Office Depot. The 4 packs of Purrell are available, but that's about it.
Every store around was sold out including dollar stores, I normally like having it anyways for my kids, so figured I'll get it while I can. Who knows when they'll get back on track with production.6'1 - 240lbs

SARS-COV-2 virus global fatality rate: 3.4%
Influenza virus fatality rate: 0.1%
The SARS-COV-2 virus is 34 times more deadly than Influenza.
SARS-Cov from 2003 fatality rate: 9.6%
SARS-CoV from 2003 was 96 times more deadly than Influenza
Still no vaccine for SARS-CoV from 2003 (17 years)
'S' Type SARS-CoV-2 (2019) = original type and less virulent and contagious and most common
'L' Type SARS-CoV-2 (2019) = mutated type and more virulent and contagious and less common
A man has recently tested positive in the United States for BOTH types of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Stay safe brahs.

Yawn...
150 confirmed cases in the US as of midday today people are acting like hundreds of millions are infected. It’s not that serious and if you are younger and healthy you have nothing to worry about.
Wake me up when a real emergency arises sorry for the bluntness but srsPosts are for fun, not to be taken seriously or as truth.

Cool, I'm here 24/7. Tomorrow we're at 93% occupancy whereas today we are at 53% occupancy. It fluctuates and like I said, there's conventions here all the time. I'm not worried about the virus, but conventions cancelling is not good for us because so much of our economy depends on them.
One convention could have around 3,500 attendees staying at one hotel and be the difference between18 to 30% or 99%.Not in the AM

I believe the Chinese study mentioned the number of cases doubling every 4.5 days or so.
ETA: My mistake. Thought it was 4.6 and it is 6.4 days.
Based on observations of data from the early outbreak in mainland China from 10–24 January 2020, the trend of an increasing incidence largely follows exponential growth, and the mean basic reproduction number (R0) was estimated to range from 2.24 [95% confidence interval (CI) 1.96–2.55] to 3.58 (95% CI 2.89–4.39), associated with two- to eight-fold increases in the reporting rate [11]. Another estimation based on data from 31 December 2019 to 28 January 2020 suggested similar findings, with the R0 for COVID-19 being 2.68 [95% credible interval (CrI) 2.47–2.86] and the epidemic doubling time being 6.4 days (95% CrI 5.8–7.1 days) [29]. The current estimate of the mean incubation period for COVID-19 is 6.4 days, ranging from 2.1 days to 11.1 days (2.5th to 97.5th percentile) [30], with potential asymptomatic transmission. Although the situation is evolving and further updated data are required to confirm these estimations, there is great potential for a large outbreak of COVID-19 soon.Last edited by katya422; 03-05-2020 at 04:33 PM.

More info on Houston.
Houston officials confirmed the first two cases of coronavirus in the nation's third-largest county Thursday, saying the two were on a trip to Egypt with multiple people, including a man from a nearby suburb who a day earlier became the first Texan to have a positive test result outside of persons repatriated from abroad.
The newest cases involve a man and a woman who are between 60 and 70 years old and remain hospitalized in stable condition, said Dr. Umair Shah, the top health official in Harris County, where Houston is located.
The announcement came a day after Texas health officials announced that a 70-year-old man in Fort Bend County, just outside Houston, had a received a “presumptive positive" test for new virus. Officials said the man was in stable condition. The woman from Harris County who tested positive is an employee at Rice University in Houston.
The university said it had identified 17 other individuals who had direct contact with the employee and had asked them previously to self-quarantine. None of them have reported any symptoms.
3 Cases in Montgomery County Maryland.

Three Marylanders have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, Gov. Larry Hogan said in a statement.
"The state’s Public Health Laboratory in Baltimore has confirmed the first three positive cases of novel coronavirus in Maryland," Hogan said. "The patients, who contracted the virus while traveling overseas, are in good condition. We have been actively preparing for this situation over the last several weeks across all levels of government. I encourage all Marylanders not to panic, but to take this seriously and to stay informed as we continue to provide updates.”
The governor is set to hold a press conference at 8 p.m.
Earlier Thursday, the governor submitted to lawmakers an emergency request for $10 million in funding and permission to draw up to $50 million from the state's rainy day fund. That request swiftly passed a state Senate committee.
“We want to thank the Governor and the Department of Health for their quick response and focus on these cases, and are ready to work together to confront this issue and make sure to align the best public response in a calm and collected manner," Senate President Bill Ferguson and House Speaker Adrienne Jones said in a joint statement. "We have the best health professionals in the world and have complete confidence in the ability of the medical community and the State and Local governments to work together to contain the effects of the COVID-19 virus.”Last edited by metroins; 03-05-2020 at 06:42 PM.

I've read that there is a new rapid test being used.
Said that the rapid test has been used in Houston cases and the expectation is that this will increase the number of cases reported.
The case, “presumptively confirmed” this week by a city of Houston laboratory, should ramp up everyone’s readiness about the outbreak, according to Dr. Umair Shah, executive director of Harris County Public Health. The Houston lab this week received a coronavirus test that will enable it to diagnose the disease more quickly and reveal more cases.INTP Crew

Wow, this is still a thing??
Treat it like basic influenza, because it's only going to kill you if you have bad underlying health issues.
If you have bad underlying health issues, get your chit together and sort your life out, then you may not contract it in the first instance
The irresponsible treatment of this situation by the world media and social media users, and the idiots knee jerk reacting in government to appease the misinformed populace, has created an unnecessary chitstorm

King County Recommends All 2.2 Million Residents Work From Home; Tells Those Over 60 To Stay Indoors
https://www.foxnews.com/us/washingto...work-from-home
A Washington state county, where 31 coronavirus cases and 9 deaths have been reported, has recommended to its 2.2 million residents that they should work from home to help slow the spread of the infectious disease, and further urged everyone over 60 to stay indoors.
Public Health officials in King County on Wednesday recommended that businesses allow their employees to telecommute throughout March in an effort to reduce the amount of face-to-face contact between large numbers of people during this “critical period” in the COVID-19 outbreak.INTP Crew
