Talking Yang considering a run for NYC mayor

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/n...ty-mayoral-bid

"Tech entrepreneur and newly-hired CNN contributor Andrew Yang confirmed to Buzzfeed News on Tuesday that he is considering a prospective bid to be the next mayor of New York City.

“You know, we’re looking at it,” he said."

He'd be an upgrade over de Blasio imo. What would all those big city folk do with their upcoming freedom dividends tho?

I don't think he has a shot. He's gone on record saying that NYC should adopt a universal income plan, giving $1000 / month to every adult over 18. That idea is controversial even for Democrat NYC.

And his opponents will cite that he's using the position as a prop for another presidential campaign.

NYC also elected AOC as a congresswoman. I don’t think it’s as controversial as you think.

It was only parts of Astoria and the Bronx that elected AOC. She got only 16,000 votes, just 4,000 over her Democrat opponent in the primaries. And right now, she's getting a lot of heat from her party, with many Dems running against her in the primaries right now. There is some talk about removing her district.

For Mayor, NYC votes a little more conservative. And there's Staten Island.

NYC didn't elect AOC, a small pocket of Queens/Bronx with a large Hispanic population elected AOC with just 15 thousand votes. 15 thousand people in NYC doesn't necessarily represent the other 8.6 million people in the City.

Either way, I think Yang could definitely win in NYC. He's a big name and charismatic. That's all it's really taken in the past. Whether that person is right leaning Giuliani/Bloomberg or left leaning de Blasio.

Can Liberals answer why with Rudy Giuliani New York had no homeless laying around Penn Station, and the city was clean, while with every Democrat Mayor New York is a smelly disgusting dump with homeless everywhere?

NYC is 42% "white" and it's safe to assume they used the same definition of that as the FBI do for their crime statistics.

It's extremely possible that Yang could win by just offering his Freedumb Gibs and legalizing more crime
