And the cheating begins: "Suspiciously high" voter registrations in swing states

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/gro...n-swing-states

Voters in Florida, Michigan and Colorado are threatening to sue their states after an independent organization discovered that each has counties with unusually high voter registration rates -- in some cases, they found more registered voters than actual people eligible to vote.

It's probably because a vast sum of young people and disenchanted non-voters are excited to vote for Bernie. Half the voting age population doesn't normally vote.

How does this explain more registered voters than eligible voters in the district? Should I go check my spare room and make sure the excitement of young people hasn't caused someone to magically appear?

This isn't a new story. County records need to be updated to reflect deaths and people who have moved away and whatnot. It isn't necessarily anything nefarious.

Additionally the majority of the districts deemed suspiciously high are at 90 percent registration and, according to the article, that number is measured against the last election where voter turnout was in the 60 percent range. They're calling it suspicious because last election's voter turnout was unremarkable.

Maybe in addition to voter rolls not being purged there are more people excited to vote this year. The article doesn't address this possibility.

Can some of it be non citizens registering to vote. One of my co-workers is here on a work Visa he registered to vote and plans to. Because he heard on Louder With Crowder that millions do it every year with no consequence and he wanted to see if it was as easy as portrayed.

In CA and NY illegals are automatically registered to vote when getting a driver's license.

OF COURSE illegals are voting like crazy. It's the only reason Democrats allow them in the country.

A 50% spike in registration (or nearly any variable) is probably statistically significant enough to warrant an investigation. I don't blame people for raising questions.

The link says that the eligible voters was taken from census data. And that the research group attributed the discrepancy to voter rolls being out of date due to death, moving, etc.

Also any reason in particular why it is assumed it is the Dems cheating? Could it not be republicans or people from both sides cheating.

I just found it kind of odd how the resident conservative assume it is the dems, and the resident dems automatically went on the defensive making excuses from discrepencies in voter registration

    SMH.

That can result in SOME change. Yes. However, we know the average voter turn out for presidential elections (~55%)

Areas are extremely unlikely to double in population size over 10 years.

Because the GOP doesn't typically use voter registration drives like Dems do.

From a statistical stand point the Florida 2000 election recount is obvious fraud.

But what you are listing would only lower the number of eligible voters, making it even more suspicious.

The voter rolls have yet to purge voters who have either moved away or passed away. The greater number of registered voters is due to this negligence in addition to new registrations spiking the number.

The day that Latin voters, especially illegal ones, start voting along their social conservatism lines, you will see liberals/leftists/democrats become the most virulent anti-illegal alien crowd. All of a sudden they will become "America first" types.

They will also deny ever having been the party of open borders and Spanish instead of English in "barrios."

Yes thanks for telling me what I read.

A 50% spike in registered voters still seems odd to me. Perhaps I'm wrong, I'm not a professional political statistician. If so oh well.
