I had a question that might be a little dumb.
Yesterday I had a perfect day going in terms of diet (so eating healthy, counting exact calories etc.) until I had a dinner at Bonefish Grill and I had almost a full appetizer of bang bang shrimps, two bang bang shrimp tacos and half a slice of key lime pie.
When I came home from dinner, I entered the calories into myfitnesspal and realized I was still under my calorie goal for the day (so I've been getting 1500 calories a day and my maintenance is 2300). Then I wondered whether its really possible that after having such a heavy dinner I could still be under my calorie goal. Like is it possible to fulfill your temptations and have bad food but still be under such a high deficit? Have you ever have thoughts like these? As in I'm eating bad stuff but I'm still not just under maintenance, but actually hitting calories that would make me lose a lot of weight. My calories until the dinner were 550 and then I had 980 calories at dinner.
Was it because I had been eating healthy until evening? The whole concept behind if it fits your macros, is that really true? Perhaps those bad foods have more calories than they're advertised? Maybe I'm just being paranoid?

550 calories before dinner is super low, and then you had a large dinner, not surprised.
Idk what "bang bang shrimp" is but it's fun to say and I want to try it.*Tolerance is the lube that slides the dildo of dysfunction into the ass of civilized society*

Double check your calories. By my count you ate about 1960 at the restaurant:
Shrimp appetizer - 790
Tacos - 740 (order of 3 = 1110)
Pie - 430 (full slice = 860)
