    Caloric count

When tracking calories and cooking chicken, turkey, or fish do you use the weight before or after the cook is done to track the caloric information in terms of oz?

Before, there is water and fat that leaves the meat and gets left in the pan.

No. Because depending on how you cook meat it can lose up to 25% of it's size, giving a different weight and causing you to miscalculate.

If you start off with an 8oz piece, and the cooked version comes out at 6oz, the macros are still 8oz because most of which you lose is water.

That's why you should always assume the macros for meat are raw labeled.
