Look, if you are trying to get into racing a Mustang GT would be a terrible choice unless you do some serious work to it. There is a good reason why cheap used 370Z's have become a favorite car for drifters and it's because they have a very balanced front-midship 2 seater setup with a revvy V6 that can become a lightweight track car without spending a lot on it. It is also a more durable car for thrashing around a track, sure journalists will talk about track times with stock cars but they aren't the ones who have to maintain them. Tranmissions have always been a real weak point for GT's, you can get a Shelby to remedy that but then you are in a different class of car.

Those soccer moms are definitely going to push their cars harder than Randy Probst who got a 10 second faster Laguna sec lap out of the pp stang than the nismo 370z
You can show them it losing by every metric and they still defend it, it's kind of cute.
The pp gt is a generation behind the Camaro 1le when it comes to handling so it's bizzare people think American cars are giant boats while a Japanese antique with terrible skidpad numbers is some kind of zl1 beater

2009 Nissan 370z touring quarter mile
12.9
2019 370z heritage edition
13.6
You wot an 03 350z ran a 13.9
A 91 skyline(r32) ran a 12.7 quarter mile. A car they made damn near 30 years is more then a second faster in the quarter mile then their brand new sports car. The 90s were really the golden age for jap cars.
I guess the GTR is still a monster though.

I have a friend who bought a challenger instead of a charger during perimanopause. I say perimanopause because was in his early 30s.

The real chit your pants moments come when driving in a rainstorm with aggressive R compound tires on the back. I drive like a granny and go very light on the peddle lol
A whipple s2 has a nice linear power delivery so it's quite predictable and easy to drive. My bro has a turbo setup which is pushing north of 1000whp which seems insane to me.

serious question. Are you retarded? IDGAF what "experience" you think you have. You're subjective opinion doesn't refute the objective performance of pony cars pulling 1.1g in skidpads stock with 420whp+ from the factory laying down easy low 12sec passes versus your chit box high 14 sec banana peel for wheels chit boxes. Have a nice day and fist yourself.
Seriously listen to yourself. You sound like every old ******* ws6 owner from the 90s that couldn't understand why some Ecliose just pushed their chit in. It's like you finally came around to that twenty years later just in time to be wrong again. Keep buying high and selling low *******.Last edited by rectifryer; 02-25-2020 at 08:58 PM.

The 240z was legit and a great car for the era. 300zx although boatish handling and tenancy to catch on fire still had some balls.
Th 350z and 370z are both hairdressers cars. Why did JDM car makers lose their balls when making affordable sports cars in recent times? And why no turbo? Yeah emission laws probably but still... they lost sight of what made JDM cars so great.

ive heard this too. it will have the same engine as the new Q60 or whatever redline.
hopefully they go back to TT V6s.
reason i never like the 350z was because besides a plenum spacer and exhaust there wasnt much that you could do to it for power. then the TT $15k kits rolled out for them but nobody really did them (at least in my area)
while in my 300ZX TT i was able to hit mid 500 with injectors, downpipes, bigger intercoolers and a tune. about $3k-$4k.
my 1990 Z was beating *******s in their brand new 350z while rolling with T-Tops off...
