Trump has record unemployment, and the growth in earnings for low income workers has outpaced higher earners.
Everyone likes “free stuff,” but Bernie has no answer for the cost or implementation and therefore has no chance at winning.
While social issues get 99% of media coverage, the real world doesn’t really care much about them. They care about having a job, earning a living, caring for their family, etc.
There aren’t enough tree huggers out there to vote Bernie in.

I think you're wrong, but we will see come election time. Let's also not forget the massive attack the media has conducted against Trump and his reputation. Trump was far more favorably covered before 2016 than now. While Bernie is being suppressed as well, they simply have zero ammo to stop him because he's genuinely a good guy. The best they have is "YOU HAVE 3 HOUSES". It just won't work. He's going to win.

I can understand the unemployed/unemployable, students doing a 10yr arts course, Antifa/BLM terrorist types voting for him even though they have no idea what they are voting for. But anyone other than that???
We live in the greatest and one of the most free countries in the world, he’ll, if you don’t like it, you are free to leave just like so many promised they would back on 2016. We didn’t try to stop them but despite the fact they hated this country, they couldn’t find anywhere better to live

The average voter won’t fully appreciate what trump is doing to shake up international trade deals, but jobs are coming back to the US. USMCA is going to create a couple million jobs, which is why the dems sat on it so long. It also gives the US leverage in European negotiations.
For example, one stipulation is something like 80% of the cars sold in North America need to be produced here. That means if Germany wants to sell their Mercedes, bmw, Audi, etc... they need to start building some factories over here. Those are going to be decent jobs for the middle class. None of this would have existed without the new trade deals.
If Bernie got into office you could kiss all progress goodbye. China would be laughing all the way to the bank.

Trump had 100% negative coverage leading up to 2016.
The only knock on trump then was he was unproven. The only knock on trump now is the media hates him, and he doesn’t always act presidential. Trump improved the economy, destroyed isis, has tried to get us out of foreign wars, reworked trade deals others said couldn’t be done, there’s little to knock him on.
So when things are good, why would Americans vote to completely uproot the entire system in hopes that a completely different ideology, which has failed all over the globe, might be better?
Hard pass for most voters.
In fact, you’ll get plenty of voters like me who didn’t vote trump
but will this time around.

Trump has 95%+ approval among republicans, and a huge and enthusiastic base.
Running someone like Bernie will only inspire republicans to get out and vote. A moderate dem might make republicans complacent, especially if they are lukewarm on trump to begin with.
The dems aren’t going everything possible to detail Bernie for nothing... they know he can’t win.
There will come a transition point over the next few months where they try to normalize Bernie. Should be interesting to watch that process. Right now he isn’t electable by the masses.

I completely disagree. There are a lot of people who vote against Trump's because.......orange man bad.
And they're willing to sell out their country because of orange man bad.

the dumbest thing they could have done is adopt the label "democratic socialist" when all they are pushing are things in existence in other capitalist countries. Gives people like you an excuse to go full strawman.
100% negative? really? even on fox? right

This was cnn in 2016 before trump realized his lying wouldn't get on unfiltered anymore.
Jeffrey A. Zucker, CNN’s president, is accustomed to complaints about his network going easy on Donald J. Trump: providing extensive coverage of his rallies, letting him phone in for interviews and hiring his former campaign manager as an analyst.“You showed hours upon hours of unfiltered, unscrutinized coverage of Trump!” shouted Todd Harris, a top adviser for Mr. Rubio. A Washington Post reporter, Karen Tumulty, prompted applause when she pressed Mr. Zucker on why he allowed Trump surrogates to spread falsehoods on his network.
trump is a lying POS no decent human being should support without serious reservation. I would hope most of the coverage is negative. Is there no limit to what people will believe if it is prefaced by the phrase,
"Scientists say" ?

I'm actually a lot more nervous about an election with Bernie as Trump's Democrat opponent than I would be some establishment goon like Biden or Warren. I knew/know a ton of self-described "moderates" who definitely lean left that were all bent out of shape about him losing in 2016.
If a lot more people actually understood anything about politics rather than voting/not voting based on what the TV/social media/etc. tells them, then I think someone as nuts as Sanders with his extreme leftism would have a very hard time winning a general election. Having said that, 75%+ of voters don't make their decisions based on being informed, and will let emotional nonsense dictate if and who they vote for when it comes down to it. Tons of people are still too gullible and view Bernie as "genuine" despite so many things pointing to the contrary, like his multiple lake houses, the lake house he got for endorsing Hillary after losing in 2016, and how he recently became a millionaire off crap like book deals while constantly railing on about "the top 1%, millionaires billionaires, rabble rabble rabble".
Furthermore, the Bernie base itself is arguably more obsessed with the guy than Trump's base is with him. Can you imagine how excited Bernie fans would be to get to the polls and vote for him if he actually wins that nomination? Not to mention all the millenial and Gen-Z idiots who racked up tons of college debt they can't afford buying into his lie that he'll magically get their student debts forgiven. Not to mention all the Dems/liberals who will vote blue regardless of who it is just to vote against Trump.
The hardest thing for the Bern's actual chances of winning is the fact that for whatever reason, he's never been popular with minority voters, especially black voters. Losing a few % points of the typically 90%+ black voters that consistently vote blue because they don't like Bernie and decide to stay home on election day certainly wouldn't help him. Make no mistake though, he definitely would have a solid chance of winning the general election despite being as much of an extreme lefist loon as he is. I think it's pretty well established that he most likely would have beaten Trump in 2016 before the Dems went completely insane as a party and Trump didn't have anything like a good economy under his watch to brag about.
