I have never gone to the gym a day in my life. I have quiet abit of fat. I want to start working out and look good. But right now my hips seem to protrude abit and i have a dip between ribs and pelvis. Is it just bad genetics or my fat and what can i do about it?

Unless you plan on winning the Arnold then don’t worry about it. You learn to work on your weak points and end up with a great physique no matter your genetics. We ALL work around weak points.

Don't expect anything and you won't be disappointed. Train hard, eat right and you'll get what you get.
