I understand the sentiment that not all ex military folks are deserving of praise. Attended high school with a guy who I was acquaintance of but not a close friend, after school he joined the Marines and served 4-6 years. After he got out he hooked up with another piece of $hit whom I also knew personally and they got into drug dealing. One night a deal of theirs went sideways and they killed 2 guys at a local gas station and then torched the place in an attempt to cover it up. One of the kids murdered was the sheriffs nephew so that didn't work out well for these @ssclowns. They are both serving life sentences and the one who was a marine has been fighting extradition to Arizona where he is the prime suspect in another murder that occurred while he was in the service. There are great people in the service as well as ex military, but then just like in every profession there are real dirtbags who don't deserve any respect.

I have thought about that and I agree. Even though those commercials are funny, from a marketing perspective, I don't think about the company they are trying to market for. Just my opinion.

In contrast, the Liberty Mutual commercials with Limu Emu and Doug, you know right away they are promoting Liberty Mutual.

As with any marketing campaigns, this type of marketing is polarizing, i.e. a lot of people like it, a lot of people don't. I had my SUV with LM recently until I got an equal quote for literally 3X less.
