    So tired of dieting

Long story short. 5'10'' dude. I was fat (230lbs), worked hard and now i'm somewhat skinny fat with a hint of muscle(152lbs). Leanest i've been at 147lbs.

But holy **** i've been there for sooooooooooooooo long. I'm feeling like just spinning wheels for 3 years. Starting autumn, losing 8-10 pounds to spring but it's so slow and exosting that i can't push through after half a year at 1500 calories (yes, i'm counting every fuarking thing that goes in my mouth). And it feels like i'm not eating at all lol.

Mb once in 2 weeks i'm binging for 2.5-3k cals when i'm feeling really depressed.

Now i know the answer is eat less or move more. But this is so hard. I feel like i'm on some mentall breakdown. Not to mention my life is not sugar in every other department but that just adds a cherry on top.

How do you guys even manage to keep 10-12% bodyfat year around?

Obviously I haven't seen a picture of you but I have a very hard time believing that at 5'10 and 150 pounds you need to lose weight. I think you need to gain weight. 20 or 30 pounds of it IMO.

You even described yourself as skinny fat. Why are you still dieting in a deficit? The reason it's getting harder and harder to lose is because you don't have much else to lose. Focus on building muscle now. Further weight loss will only make you look even more "skinny fat". I understand how hard it is to switch the mindset from losing weight to focusing on building muscle after you've been overweight and convinced yourself you're never going back. But it'd be best for you to get into that mindset now and start than furthering your weight loss. I've been in the same shoes.

You need to reverse diet and add overall muscle and train abs intensely and then come back to a deficit later. You just don't have enough muscle to be cutting further
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough

You're pretty lean man. Great job on the loss..I'm sure your abs pop more in better lighting.

Nobody gets their dream physique in one cut. You lost a tonne of fat and you should be extremely proud of yourself.

If i were you, I would focus on getting stronger for the next 8 months+. Try and do it at maintenance. As you increase your calories and get stronger your maintenance calories will probably increase and you'll be surprised at how much food you can eat without barely gaining any weight. If maintenance calories aren't working for strength progress. Go into a small surplus... Maybe 2-3 pounds per month. Do it until you've gained 15-20 pounds.

being able to smash a cheese burger with a large fries without it making you gain weight will be extremely helpful to your mental health after a huge cut like that. Just my opinion.

Most trainees mess this up and and end up gaining too quickly. I put on 30 pounds in 5 months... Mostly fat because I'm an idiot and gained at a rate of 6 pounds per month instead of the planned 2 pounds. Smashing PR'S in the gym is regularly is rewarding though.

You're not skinny fat, you're just skinny and you lack overall muscle mass. No amount of cutting is going to get you where you want to go. Spend the next year gaining about 25 lbs, then cut again.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.

    This ^^^^.

OP, GREAT JOB on the weight loss. But... your issue isn't too much fat. It's lack of muscle.

Have to agree with this in the sense that (along with what everyone else has been saying) you should focus on muscle gain. Since your thread is ostensibly about "being sick of dieting" this seems like the advice you need...but don't want to follow for some reason?

You are very lean already and underweight for your height...

So basically your goal is to reach an unsustainable point and admire yourself in the mirror for a few days in your ultra skinny/lean state, and then start bulking. Why?

If you're going to ignore the advice then why did you ask for it?

FYI, I agree with several of the other posters, great job on the weight loss, it's time to bulk. (carefully)
