    Anyone watch Goonzquad?

I like these guys, and they're pretty damn good at what they do. It kinda amazing how only two of em can completely rebuild cars, and trucks from the ground up.

These guys can't be more than 25 years old.

I've subscribed and watched all their videos since the Viper TA rebuild. They definitely do some good work and great videos. It'll be nice to see them move into their new shop and continue to grow... they're definitely very deserving of it and hard workers.

I watched almost every upload they had until they started with the exotics, I just don't care about European cars. Then they started really bouncing around with all the different projects, some kind of disappeared randomly.

Same with Streetspeed717, watched all his stuff until some cars just disappeared without any explanation. My autism/ADD won't let that slide.

Which ones disappeared? Their "custom supercar" definitely did, but can't think of others off the top of my head.

first video i saw of them was the Z06, before they had the whole garage set up.

The one dude is really good at video editing and the other one is really good on the cars and I think they both started learning the others skills slowly.

They've got a following for all demographics which makes them successful- even their animals are some of the little kids favorites and have families legit watching together lmao... you can tell by the fan mail they read.

"Rebuilding a crashed Huracan" just seems more interesting than "Rebuilding a 2008 WRX" to majority. Gotta go where the money is if you want to do it full time, I guess.

The 370Z, the 2nd S2000, boosting the Mustang (they literally talked about it for years and it never happened), finishing the Viper (last time I checked it was 2/3rds drive-able).....and to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe some of these were addressed after I checked out but none of these were really talked about after the Ferrari and the Lambo showed up and they spent multiple episodes trying to diag no start conditions. Couldn't do it anymore.

Trust me, I get it. The majority of people watching want to see supercars, I don't.

Same reason I don't watch cringe lords like DDE or Alex Choi, I don't give a flippin' Jack about what super bright color you wrapped your lambo in or the weird fact none of them have attempted to smash Emilia Hartford even though she was hanging all over them for views at one point.

The only rebuild channel I watch currently is Alex Rebuilds. His Viper rebuild was top notch and that Gas Monkey C10 rebuild is epic, his editing is a far cry from the 'squad though.

If you watched the latest bit on the S2000 where they painted it green, they went over to the second S2000 and pulled a part off it to use. I think they just used it for that. Remember, there was something where the old engine wouldn't go into the new car, so they had to wait a while before finally finishing it. I think they pretty much completed the 370Z, but never drove it or did anything cool like drift it like they said they would. They parked the Viper at their brother's house, but they have ripped around in it a few times at least. Parts are HARD to get for Vipers as well.

Alex is good and I've watched him since the Viper build. He does some quality work and I'm excited to see how everything with his new shop goes. He's funny to listen to because he speaks in a way where he pronounces every word perfectly so it almost sounds kind of strange. I agree the editing isn't all that amazing, but he's no BS either.

Can't stand DDE, Alex Choi, and the virgin something guy can't remember the channel name.

I believe they addressed the Mustang supercharging topic couple of times, something about wanting to just keep it N/A since it was their first project and what made their channel take off. They supercharged the goonzquad charger instead. I think Viper is mostly done just missing some small trim pieces, the 350z just kinda got swept aside since it wasn't as popular. The S2000 finally got done few weeks ago.

the good thing about goonsquad is that they are staying true to their roots. they are not changing their formula,
they are not allowing other youtube phaggots to join them or do "collaborations" or any of that. they are doing it on their own.
they are also true DIY and will do it the correct way even if they have to redo it twice.

you have to give them props as they are achieving all of this on their own. they dont seem to do many sponsored videos sponsoring **** products and they dont also do giveaways or VIP join $5 a month to earn a free hoddie bull**** like other channels do.

one of the best channels out there not pushing **** down your throat

the amount of content goonzsquad put up is nuts.

    they are working 24/7

that gladiator took 3 weeks to rebuild.

I don't see how they won't burn out in the future.

they do their own editing/recording etc

their next build is crashed McLaren 720s from royalty exotics

I watch them. Good natured and personable. Some other youtuber tried to create drama with them for views and they just avoided it. Wise beyond their years not to get caught up in chit like that. Waiting for them to get back to their boat though. Also, I wish they wouldn't put so much aftermarket crap on their builds. Ferraris don't need ricer crap added to them. Hopefully they'll grow out of this stage and start to appreciate those exotics as they were intended to be.

I do wonder if/how they register and plate these salvage title builds though. If a Lambo is written off as totaled, I wonder what it takes to legally get it back on the road...

Tavarish is annoying. I don't think he actually knows how to fix anything. He just knows how to take it apart. The nicest of the exotic build cars I've seen is the British racing green Ferrari 360 that samcrac is working on. That is a damned good looking car.

they have sold several cars from what I recall there was corvette and camaro and 2 more that were sold.

gtr is for sale. lambo is for sale too.

the thing is they are at moment in business of growing the channel as fast possible.

that police car has been sitting there rotting for last 3 months. same with that gt3 ferrari conversion.

they have new rebuilds coming in every few weeks.

pretty much anything boats, motorcycle, truck, car, exotics, quads..

they are not doing it because they enjoy the cars but rather saw big opportunity in the youtube game to make serious money.

according to socialblade they are making close to $1 million per year from youtube.

anyone else doing this buying salvage car and rebuilding it would go broke, without youtube revenue.

no body is going to buy salvage title lambo for $110k if they have that kind of money around.

Properly repaired Huracan for $110k is hell of a deal and I'm sure it'll sell.

the have to be making more than 1 million a year. they dont really do sponsored videos either like most youtubers.
either they make more than 1 mill off youtube alone or their merchandise sells like hot pancakes (which they also advertise for few seconds every now and then so they arent really pushing that **** hard)

With how many subscribers they have, they could be a little smarter and make more money. Look at the Cleetus McFarland channel. They had less subs than Goonzquad and after they bought that track, have way more. Cleetus makes YouTube revenue but I would not be surprised if he actually makes more money from Cleetus & Cars events plus merchandise. Plus so many companies (Texas Speed, Motion Raceworks, Holley, Nitto, etc) send them free products for their cars.

i think the gt3 conversion is paid advertising by the insurance company, hence the big name on the side of the car.

    Sorry I made mistake.

They want $150K for rebuild 2016 Huracan LP580.

Sheet they posted how much it cost them.

    Shame they stopped doing this.

I guess they don't want to reveal their secrets.

They are clearly getting stuff free now. Like that lift kit for the jeep...or procharger for police car etc.

    .........

cheapest clean title similar lp580 is

    ~$170k on autotempest

I don't think anyone is that crazy to buy salvage car for $150K.

I know they bought the 2nd S2K because of engine problems with the original but I thought I remembered them saying how clean the donor car was so they were going to do something with that (I believe they eluded to a V8 swap) but I might be wrong. It's weird though, I know they said that Viper parts were hard to come by but Alex got all his parts within a few weeks....weird, maybe Alex has a hookup that Goonzquad doesn't. Hard to say.

They supercharged the goonzquad charger instead. I think Viper is mostly done just missing some small trim pieces, the 350z just kinda got swept aside since it wasn't as popular. The S2000 finally got done few weeks ago.
Vehicle Virgins is who you're thinking of. Back when he did videos with Eddie his content was solid. He's really gone down the DDE road lately.

May be hookup, but I believe Alex is rebuilding a GT/GTS Viper. Goonzquad's Viper is a Time Trial which uses more carbon fiber parts (at least from what I understand).

and yes Vehicle Virgins is who i was thinking off...can't stand the guy lol

Parts are all the same. TA model has slightly different suspension tuning and simple aero (front corner splitters/rear spoiler). All Gen V Vipers have carbon fiber hood, roof, rear decklid/trunk, aluminum doors, and the same engine, regardless of trim.

I've been watching since they rebuilt the first superduty. I really like their content. You can tell they are just a couple good old boys who have a great work ethic and came from a lower middle class upbringing. They seem to really love and appreciate what they do. I can't stand channels like Streetspeed717, Strandman, or pretty much any other channel featuring exotics. Just a bunch of spoiled kids flexing on their viewers. No thanks jeff. These boys keep it real and the truck they bought for their dad just proves that even more. Can't wait to see them swap the 5th gen front end on it.

I watched that video too and thought the same thing....like damn bro, how you even making this work? I know he's mentioned before that he has a full time job and he does this on the side (hence why he uploads so infrequently) So I assume he's either playing to the long game to get to Goonzquad-esque levels or this is legit his passion that he just happens to upload on to Youtube to make a buck on the side.
