Muscle memory is unbelievable so you'll be able to gain back what you lose in like 1/10th of the time in a couple of months likely.

Have you talked to your doctor about if it would be alright for you to lift weights? I held onto a lot of muscle for a year and a half of poor diet and no real exercise. I am natural or at least was and had super low testosterone from pain killers it looked like I weight lifted after only 3 weeks back into it. I went on testosterone replacement to bring my levels into a natural middle range that probably isn't really equal to a natural middle range because of quality among other things. So you should be actually quite alright. If you can lift weights in four months you'll come back stronger likely.
