We all have to do what works for us, but I'm with you. I live in the country, and my preferred mode of cardio is biking and I even ride at night. I rode 11 miles last night and had a total of just four cars pass me. I have a dyno driven front light and flashing red backlight, and I have a bike helmet with a rechargeable battery that flashes red in the back and a bright light on the front.

I have a $600 smart bike trainer that's two years old and I have YET to take the time to try and set it up with something like Zwift.

If you wear spandex with words all over it and have a helmet that looks like an alien head, you're gonna want to move on to greener pastures. The rules of the O35 specifically prohibit spandex bike "guys."

$39 and good for a household. They have a mobile app too for the non bike or treadmill workouts, tho I doubt I'll use those since I still lift in the gym

I hear you on the visibility, I have front and rear rechargeable led's with the most lumens I could find. I too like night riding as well. My favorite is to get up early and watch the sun come up on the ride.
