Normally rail is above your head. Second the racing setups usually have the harness which is significantly better than a seatbelt. For example- nascars don't have seatbelts and despite the number of crashes drivers usually walk away not too bad.

Fukking sick build and I'm jelly AF.
Thanks man. I'm looking to do the Bertil Roos racing school in April since they have a one day class right up the street from me at Palm Beach International Raceway. I managed to stay in one piece when my Dad bought me a new '04 Cobra when I was 19 and in college. It had full bolt ons at 600 miles. This is obviously in another league entirely but I definitely am not a serious risk taker behind the wheel. I'm coming from a Gen V Viper which honestly felt a bit tame to me. I could have done a turbo kit on the Viper and been at ~1300whp but this is the route I took.

    2. Have Pro driver fine tune the car for a nice neutral set up or whatever OP prefers.
    3. Do a few HPDE schools to learn the car. It's not like this will be a DD but it would be beneficial to learn the car and its limits.
    4. If he does track days, I'm sure he'd be running proper tires/wheels and not street meat

I'm excited to see this build. Definitely unique and I love this car. Have a few that show up to our local C&C meets from time to time.
Yeah I'm definitely going to run Toyo r888Rs all around, which everyone raves about. No doubt it will still be able to light them up, but a good tire is key. What Ultimas have you seen at your C&C? I've never seen one in person and I *think* the only driving RS models are in Asia and Europe. When I ordered mine in November, there were only 10 orders to the States so far. None complete as far as I know. There are GTRs and EVOs sparsely around the country though.

A supercharged car is more driveable in this type of platform because the power delivery is much more linear than a turbo setup. Having all the power hit hard in the high RPMs could cause loss of traction and make it difficult to drive on a track where you're mid corner and it builds boost.

Haha I think the closest anyone other than me will get to driving it is on Forza if they release it. They have the Ultima Evolution on there and it flies.

NASCAR drivers also have a neck harness/brace, and helmet. These keep them from smashing into the steering wheel. The danger is your head bopping around and into stuff, seatbelt or harness isn't particularly relevant to that danger.

That sounds like it'll be a good time. And will definitely help you get ready for the beast you're about to be driving around.

They have the HANS along with crash seats and harnesses that control crash activity. Structures that limit crash damage. Are we talking Ryan now? Nomex and many layers of fire protection now.

Very nice. Yeah I'll be taking mine to Cars and Coffee Palm Beach when I'm done. It's only about 10 mins away from my house and one of the largest in the country. We get Paganis, Koenigseggs, Bugattis, and every version of the latest Lambo, Ferrari, etc etc. Really awesome show to go to.

The Superlite Coupe is awesome from an engineering standpoint, but I just don't like the look of it. Ultima has more of a rich history too imo, but I do wish they would do something awesome and modern like the aluminum monocoque of the SLC.
