Been a long year so far.

Not even 2 full months in and it's been a long one. Ended up getting a head cold beginning of Jan that got so bad I missed a day of work & I NEVER miss work. 2 days later I got diarrhea and at the same time vomiting which wasn't good so I went to urgent care. CT scan showed I had diverticulitis with micro perfs and a blood infection, admitted and spent a week getting massive antibiotics thru IV's. Felt better but not great and got out after 7 days, next day I go to work and feel like crap but make it through the day, the next day was worse...you know it's bad when you are crapping nothing but blood so back I go where I spent another 3 days. A 2nd CT scan showed the colon had burst and now I had an abscess about the size of a walnut so more and different antibiotics for that. Next I go under for a endoscopy where they discover the cause of the bleeding, a nasty bleeding ulcer so they used 2 stainless clips and pinched that off and in addition another small hiatal hernia but not worrying about that for now. Add in the 6+ days of non stop diarrhea which lead to hemorrhoids and it's been a lousy fukking January.

Good thing is for the past 2 weeks I have felt infinitely better and only have another 2 weeks of all the meds they have me on to combat all this stuff. Won't stop me from getting 5 days of vitamin Sea in Punta Cana starting tomorrow though. At 1 point I considered canceling but after the past 5-6 weeks I need a damn vacation.

Working out is on hold for awhile but the good thing is this has caused me to lose 20 lbs so far and i'm looking to lose another 15-20.

Wow that sucks glad you are feeling better. I’ve been to Punta Cana twice, if you’d prefer to not continue ****ting your brains out avoid the warm sushi . Rough start to the year, but a vacation will be good.

I feel ya. Last August, I took an amberlamps ride to the ER and wound up needing four units of blood and stayed there for 4-5 days. I had a lovely lower GI hemorrhage.

Most likely family stress. In November I got a nice case of Bell's Palsy and the right side of my face is still partly paralyzed. I lost my 85 year old mom in October and was a care-giver. I also had two pituitary tumor resection surgeries last year. Yeah, 2019 kinda sucked.
