So i have worsening chostochondritis for pretty much 8 months now...
I've been to the doctor. Insurance denied MRi for now. Tried PT, tried steroid pills, tried muscle relaxers. Nothing is making it go away.
I cant do upper body workouts at all at this point without heavily aggravating it.
Has anyone else experienced this? It has gotten to the point of making me feel depressed on a daily basis.

I've had costochondritis.
I popped the rib doing unilateral rows with my torso crunched. Any crunching movement bothers it, so I avoid those.
Strengthening your back muscles provides support. Reverse planks is a great one.
Fixing posture so that you don't crouch forward is a huge one.
If you bench press, making sure not to bounce the bar off your chest, and making sure you involve your back as much as possible.
The good news is it does heal, very very very slowly. Each time you re-injure it, gonna take months to get back to where it was.
