    Creatine mono and heartburn

    hi guys,
I began using creatine mono about 2-3 weeks ago.
1 week after I began using it i developed terrible acid reflux.
I stopped taking it when it all happend, but almost 2 weeks after i am still experiencing terrible heartburns.
anyone else was experiencing heartburn when using creatine?
If so how long after stopping the heartburn went away?

btw - I never had hurtburns in my life (maybe sometimes after eating a whole pizza).

    thanks!

Ok so the heartburns went away completly.
I had them Almost a month (!) after stopping creatine.
I guess the high creatine levels in my body were to blame.

Is there a way of taking creatine and preventing indigestion?

Figure out what else you changed. When you fix that, maybe your problem will go away

How much are you taking and are you taking it with anything different which may cause heart burn? Have you tried reducing the amount you take? That may help

Virtually anything can cause acid reflux which is where stomach acid travels up into the esophagus and no one knows exactly why it happens, some foods are more likely to trigger the event but I highly doubt it was creatine specifically.
