I just started working out and have already seen some changes in my physique, im following a upper and lower program, going to the gym 3 times a week. I am lean enough that I should be able to see my abs, however i cant! The only time that i am able to notice them is in the perfect lighting and even still they look flat! One of my mates who has a higher bf% then me has proper abs that are more 3 dimensional then mine, i was wondering if anyone can figure out why ?
Stats
65kg
5β10
According to my scales im 11.7% body fat but i recon im around 13

Hello Smithy,
Starting out is actually the hardest part of the process, so props to you for that.
The first advice I can give you as it worked very well for me, was to take pictures every day. This is actually the best way you can measure your improvements and not feel discouraged.
Keep us informed, keep working out and best of luck to you.
