    Yeah sometimes. Obviously not someone who looks better and is stronger than me, because even if their training is odd, something's working for them.

    Usually I'd do it if it's someone I see there regularly who I know trains hard but just isn't doing things right. Sometimes I'll just be throwing ideas around with others who do the same with me.

    The thing about lifting is what works for you may not work for another person, so just because a bodybuilder half reps bench press or other stuff doesn't mean that will work for you.

    This one Indian dude was mirin me on the cable crossover and I shown him how to do it. I told him though it's not that important of an exercise, just to do it at the end once you get your heavy lifts out of the way.

    I've made the mistake of helping people with diets, programs, lifting feedback for free too many times. Its all fun and games for 1 workout then they resort back to their yolo-lifting/diet, only to ask the same questions again. When people ask me now I tell them ''Sure, 50 dollars and I write you a complete program'' and they usually bert stare me lmao

    The only people who actually followed through payed me (srs)

    If you want to get good at something, you have an obligation to educate yourself, or pay someone to educate you.

    I only did it once recently, when i saw this guy benching alone and 1 side was rising much faster than the other. I was waiting for him to dump the weight or tear a pec.

    He knew about it, lowered the weight and used better form.

    I only give unsolicited advice when the person seems genuine and is actually trying to lift and not ego-lift. I only get involved when others or their own safety is in jeopardy.

    I never talk to anyone in the gym unless they ask me something, which I'm always receptive. I do however find myself calling out people to rack their weights a lot. Easily the one thing that pisses me off in the gym are people who leave their weights on the floor and the people who throw the cable attachments all over the floor.

    I was working in with a guy in the squat rack and watched him squatting for a set. He saw me watching and asked if I could help him, so I gave him a couple quick form tips because he really was about to hurt himself (his knees were buckling in and he kept almost falling forward because his weight was on his toes). I then steered him toward a trainer who could really help. I'm not a trainer.

    You can tell most people wouldn't care anyway, or even if you gave a tip they'd expect it to be magic or something. I don't involve myself with people I don't know either way, but if asked I'll be the best resource they could have hoped for and even guide them more as long as they really want to learn.
