bariatric supplements, do they exist (with extra limitations!)

First off, I can't handle whey isolate, so that takes a LOT of stuff off the table for me. I get massive indigestion and throw up mucus for a good 30 mins, not a fun time.

That said, I take a bariatric multivitamin w/ iron, and a calcium supplement at opposite sides of the clock. for protein i've been doing jerky or protein cookies, however those are like 60/40 protein/sugar..

i have to be very careful w/ caffiene, so most pre-workouts are out as well.

I was curious if there are any options for these somewhat strict limitations, or if i should simply continue doing as i've been doing.

for those unfamiliar w/ bariatrics, my diet is 90% lean protein, for now 60-70grams/day, however that may go up slightly after a doc's visit next month. I have to be careful w/ the amount of fat/sugar i take in a day, but i don't have a hard number on grams for that. to much of either causes dumping syndrome, which is very bad.

I'd definitely opt for like a Quest bar over a protein cookie in that situation. I use "protein cookies" as a carb source vs a protein source.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

Have a look at dairy-free bars. Vega do them and Outright now have a couple of vegan/dairy-free options too (though I’ve tried neither of the above personally).

SAN RawFusion bars might be worth looking in to, vegan protein bars and they taste ok.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.

i hadn't even thought to do a search for that...

ironically, the very first listing on amazon is for a "high whey protein" bar...

    i did find 2 that aren't loaded w/ sugar i think i'll try,
MP Organic Chocolate Toffee, and SimplyProtein Baked PB Cookie

swing back by in a few weeks w/ thoughts

If it helps you, there is a protein supplement called Unjury which you may be aware of. Here is my review of it https://supplementclarity.com/unjury-protein-review/
