IronMaster Super Bench HYBRID BENCH PAD!

IronMaster just released a new Hybrid Bench Pad for their Super Benches. Who's going to be our guinea pig and buy one and test it out? Looks pretty solid to me.

Looks interesting. Space is becoming tight in my home gym. I might have to give this a shot and consider selling my Rep FB5000 flat bench. Thanks for the heads up.

Longtime ironmaster user, love their products. But I do see this one as a little unnecessary. You'd have to take it out to switch short and wide sides for the way you're facing, if I understand their description correctly. They should've made a pad that was just shorter front to back, would make more sense to me. I haven't encountered any real issues with pad width as it is, but sometimes the metal ring the bench adjusts angles on bangs into my legs on certain exercises like dips and pullups, making that a smaller footprint would be nice(even though the PRO version did reduce the footprint a tad, it's not enough). The bench itself doesn't bother me as it is for the most part. I wouldn't mind seeing them put out a cable crossover attachment for their smith rack though, that'd be killer.

I'd think you'd just flip your body or the bench the other way around. Wouldnt it be stable? Wide end for flat bench pressing.

The only hip thrusting you should be doing is when your having sex. Hip thrusts are a trash exercise imo. Squats, Deadlifts, Good Mornings, Cleans, Kettebell swings should work those muscles in a much better way.

Yeah the uneven aspect of it would bother me on those, and it's a shame too cause the idea they had was good, but the half and half hybrid thing just wouldn't work for me. I'd rather have it all one width.

This is a pretty cool idea, and for only $69 shipped I think I'll grab one for my Ironmaster Pro bench!
