    What do your cheat days look like?

    Usually Saturday I do some Kodiak Cakes, then for lunch a nice sandwich with some Sam Yangs and then beers and some type of meat and potatoes or pizza for supper.

    Cheat days are a huge mistake. Brb eat a deficit of 3000 cals from monday to saturday and then have a cheatday on sunday of a surplus of 2000 cals. Brb 5 days of the week wasted.


    Grab on your nuts and dont cheat on your diet phaggot. Ill give you a secret: Intermitent fasting. With that, every day can be cheat day srs. Imagine getting to 8pm with 2000 calories left, the sky is the limit.

    Brb two cheeseburgers, some cereal to hit the 2k cals and still be on a deficit for the day.

    Also make your own ****. If you want a burger go to the supermarket and pick some nice lean ground beef and cook them yourself, you are going to at least scratch a couple hundred calories compared to one bought at any random place.

    Want something sweet? Make your own pancakes and track everything. Make your waffles, pick sweets with low fat etc. The trick is to dont go over maintenance.

    It's more of a cheat meal than it is a cheat day.
    It's usually on a day I don't workout. I skip my morning and afternoon snacks, so I just have breakfast and lunch. Of course no whey protein/carbs shake neither. That cuts like 750 calories from my usual 3000 calories diet. That leave me with roughly 1500 calories to hit my daily macros with my cheat meal. I'll usually end the day (alcohol included) with a surplus of a couple hundreds calories max, if I end up with a surplus at all.

    This is how I approach it. Gotta be clever about it, but I think going full autistic and only going for 100% clean food ALL the time and never indulging is crazy as well... Might as well kiss your social life goodbye.

    I usually go more on the fat side (McDonald's, Pizza, whatever...). I don't enjoy dessert. I personally don't like 95% of sweet foods so it's not a temptation for me.

    Only thing off limits for me nowadays is soda (Coke, Sprite, etc.) and "fruitty" beverages. This I think it the worst thing in the food industry.

    No cheat days here. If I see something sweet that I want. I will get it. If I get invited out for pizza, I will eat it. I'm not in prep mode and stay lean year round so no point in being super strict. Im not getting paid for it or anything.

    yeah thats a good way to do it, hence why IF is so damn good when cutting.

    Have a night out with friends and your maintenance is 3000 cals? Then eat just 1k cals during the day of mostly protein and a few carbs, and save the other 2k for the night out. You can easily fit 4 or 5 beers and a cheeseburger with fries if you feel like it, or maybe salad instead of fries and get a dessert instead, man the possibilities are endless.

    if youre really trying to optimize muscle growth though you want to be eating X amount of carbs and protein everyday to the point you are not gaining bodyfat past 15% and gaining the most muscle possible, theres a fine line between that and gaining fat or not gaining the most muscle, so i usually eat just as strict in the offseason if not more strict because i dont get cravings. Again a personal choice, but i dont think saying " im in the offseason i can eat whatever whenever" is justifiable, moreso when you are very restricted you can go have a mega binge on a whole box of brownies and sometimes get leaner/stronger.

    I usually have 1 "cheat" meal a week without going overboard on the portion. It may be 1 slice of pizza, or some breaded/sauced chicken wings. A flat out "cheat day" with a full day going way over maintenance is a ludicrous and antiquated practice.
