I can probably count on my hand the number of times my Dad has told me he loves me since I was 12. This is an extreme case though and if that is normal in Finnish behavior I can see how you would think an average Mississippi man was very expressive lol.

On paper, probably not. I am manic, lazy, righteously kunty, hate children and have long lasting family issues.

However, I am very well suited to my Husband who also hates children and is NC with his family. He is very grounded and motivated so makes up for my shortcomings on that front.

In reality, we are extremely well suited. I always say that my husband is the second biggest arsehole that I know (with the first being myself). We never argue and are both absolutely obsessed with each other.

So I think I am very good wife material, to a very specific sort of gentleman and nightmare fuel to the vast majority of the male population.

Edit: just asked my Husband if I am good wife material and he said “This relationship only works because I am amazing Husband material”.

Its a lot easier and comes more natural for me to show physical affection than to talk about it. I only know one person who tells his grown son he loves him.

I hope I'm able to tell mine once he gets older. It's easy now that he's just a toddler but I suspect it might get harder as he grows up and I want him to know that I love him.
