Thumbs up Training to go Super Saiyan

Alright so it’s been over a year since I’ve posted on here. I keep making logs saying I’m going to update them and lose weight and get strong and all that jazz and I always fail. Anyway gonna try again. Currently sitting around 265-270ish. Will eventually be getting a scale. Training I’m basically doing 5/3/1 boring but big trying to add as much strength and muscle mass as I can. Currently eating “clean” and trying to make my diet mirror my goals. Want to drop 50-60 pounds of fat and keep muscle mass. Got a vacation planned in about 2 weeks but after that I’m considering starting PSMF to really get the fat gone quick. I know it’s hard and intense but I can give it a shot. Currently the only supplements I’m taking on a daily basis is a multi, vit D, NAC, creatine, and I’ll occasionally take Hydraulic and The Grind by Axe and Sledge. Sometimes a whey. Will post my training routine tomorrow after the gym.

Breakfast today was 4 egg whites and 1 whole egg with 2 slices of cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread.

Lunch was 6 ounce baked chicken and 1.5 cup white rice and a honey crisp apple.

Dinner is going to be 2 cups of a chicken casserole my wife made. It’s just rotisserie chicken, rice and cream of mushroom with some spices.

Definitely need to get some greens in there and will be adding some steamed greens tomorrow.

Training kicked off with OHP 5/3/1, bench 5x10 and assisted pull ups 5x10. I’m still fat af so the assisted pull ups are so hard but I have to do them. Eventually I’ll get good at them.

Work was really draining today. Working in sales is just a draining job in general but I swear my customers are the worst. I really feel like they come in just to waste my time.

Sleep has been a challenge for me because my wife and I work different shifts and don’t see each other until around 8-9 pm and want to spend time with each other. Then our dogs wake me up at 6 am every single day because they’re either hungry or want to get in the bed. I’m not complaining to have snugly pups but would like to sleep in some days lol.

Anyway thanks for reading! I’ll continue to update as frequently as I can and will add my weights to the lifts tomorrow when I get a chance. Tomorrow is deadlifts.

So as promised I’m posting my weights from last night.

    OHP:
    80x5
    95x5
    105x8
    110x5 joker set

    Bench press:
    135x5x10

    Assisted pull ups:
    5x10 with 140 pounds assistance.

A little embarrassed about how much help I needed on the pull ups because I used to be so much stronger and could get away with 50ish pounds assistance. Hell in high school I could do regular pull ups no problem. But I know with time and consistency I’ll get back to that. I gotta start somewhere. So Monday I worked a 13 hour shift and couldn’t make it to the gym. Tuesday I hit legs, yesterday I hit shoulders/chest. Tonight is scheduled to be deads and squats but I’m insanely sore and have the opportunity to spend the evening with my wife so I’m going to take today as a rest day and hit it hard tomorrow morning.

Breakfast will be similar today with the egg whites and toast and for lunch will be the same amount of chicken but probably lowering the rice and adding some steamed greens.

Felt fine yesterday and feel great today other than being pretty sore.

Really excited to go to Disney world for our honeymoon on feb 6-13 but when I get back I’ll be working 12-14 hour days for pretty much 3 months. Will be trying to do PSMF so I can drop a bunch of fat as well. I know it’s going to be challenging but I really am tired of feeling like a loser. Come pay day I’m buying a scale. I think having that once I start PSMF and seeing the progress will definitely help keep me motivated.

This morning was 5/3/1 deadlifts with 5x10 squats and 5x10 hanging leg raises.

    Deadlift sets were
    180x5
    205x5
    235x5

    Squats were 150x5x10

And leg raises were just 5x10.

Same breakfast as always 4 egg white, 1 whole egg, 2 slices cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread toast.

Lunch is 8 ounce chicken and cup and half broccoli and a honeycrisp apple.

Not sure what dinner will be, but will probably be left over pork tenderloin and something else.

Squats kicked my ass today. Didn’t realize how hard 5x10 would be but I just gritted my teeth and got it done. Also threw on my hip circle and really felt my glutes working. Got bench tomorrow and really excited about that. Stepped on the scale at 265 and felt good about it because I know it’s gonna start coming down.

I feel like my training maxes for 5/3/1 are way too low but I’m used to getting strong and cocky and then getting hurt so I’m gonna try to stay smart this time. Plus once I start PSMF I’m sure my energy will be a little lower but I’ll take low energy for now to drop a bunch of fat.

Missed a few days posting but I’m back. Had squats 5/3/1 and deadlift 5x10 but was at a different gym and didn’t like their equipment. Today I have shoulders 5/3/1 and bench 5x10. I can’t remember what my accessory lifts are but I think it’s pull-ups.

Diet has been roughly the same except for today. Tuesday’s are my wife and I off day so we slept in then boiled up some shrimp and potatoes and cooked up a little steak for a brunch.

Work just switched over to a new wellness program and I signed up for a wellness coach to meet with once a week for 30 minutes and after the first meeting they send us some kind of success kit. All I really know that’s in there is a food scale and I do need a new one.

Going to add in a little cardio here this week because on feb 6 we go to Disney so I need as much cardio as I can get lol. I definitely want to get a treadmill or stationary bike or something for the garage so I can do fasted cardio in the mornings before work kinda like David Goggins style.

After Disney I’m starting PSMF and gonna really try to shed the fat. Will be working 12-14 hour days for probably 2 months straight so gym time will be sparse.

Hey man, you might want to start a log in the workout logs forum instead. Probably get a lot more attention than here since this is mostly for noobies trying to lose weight. Goodluck with the program.
