So what you have to ask yourself is whats up with the worldwide numbers. Either it takes 10 weeks or so for the local outbreaks to catch fire, or they are just under reporting. For reference, 6 weeks ago China was at a "reported" number of like 41. Singapore is at 50, as well as maybe japan and hong kong I think.

I think the truth is the rest of the world isn't testing for it because the truth will cause too much panic. Even if 80% of people who get it don't get symptoms, the 20% that do and go to the hospital needing care are a real problem. I think its pretty clear at this point that this things contagion factor is high.

Idk, the new death rate numbers were specifically chosen to keep the published 0 day mortality rate at 2.2%. Which to me, means that the death rate is bs. They are just frauding all around town.

Based on incubation times and the general level of contagion we are seeing in china, I think its irresponsible to think its not already spreading globally unchecked.

Personally I do believe that this virus was leaked, but not to attack other nations as is being suggested elsewhere.

This virus is primarily killing older people and those with compromised immune systems. Seems to me that China is sorting out its heavily skewed Older/retired population:healthy working population ratio.

That could be the conspiracy theorist in me talking chit though.

Think the AVG mortality rate was 15% for the spanish flu, in the 19 teens. Compared to modern medicine it would have had a mortality rate closer to 1-2%.

It's hard to compare a viral infection from 100 years ago to now, it's like saying the plague, which we have infections time to time rise up(surprisingly in china) had a similar 8-15% mortality rate but currently there's no active deaths that I'm aware of.
