I’ve been on Keto mostly for about 2 years and I’ve decided to stop recently.
I’ve noticed my electrolytes are still draining pretty fast(I used to have high blood pressure on a carb diet, now it feels like I can’t take in enough sodium).
How long does it take/did it take for your body to go back to normal? I want to do OMAD but I’m forced to eat throughout the day because my body is still pushing out the electrolytes faster than normal.

There is nothing that complicated about it. Just do it slowly over a few days - with small amounts of carb mixed in with other foods to begin with. IIRC Lyle McDonald had a protocol for people to switch out of keto - but that was for CKD where it has to be done in 1 day. I can't see what else there is to worry about. Electrolytes and blood pressure are unlikely to be related to carb consumption unless you still have insulin resistance problems. Hopefully weight loss, exercise and the low carb conditions have fixed this though.
I don't recommend OMAD unless this is literally the only way you can maintain control of your appetite. There are several downsides if you care about body composition goals.

I understand how to transition off of a Keto diet. My problem is that my electrolytes are still being depleted VERY fast on carbs as if I were still on a Keto diet.
I can take in 3000mg of sodium in the morning for breakfast and still need another 3000mg by noon or I start feeling sick and still need something salty in the evening.
It makes eating at a deficit more difficult because I’m constantly feeling dehydrated and need to eat something not because I’m hungry but to push the electrolytes into my body.
That’s what I’m wondering, has anyone else experienced this? How long does it take for your kidneys to stop flushing out electrolytes at such a fast rate once you switch from a Keto diet back to a carb diet.
(And just for context I’ve been off of Keto since December).

stupid question, but have you tried just drinking more water when you’re thirsty rather than eat food to acquire electrolytes?
I’d expect reintroduction of carbs to cause thirst because glycogen replenishment requires 3-4x water for every 1x carb that gets stored. Assuming your carbs are coming from healthy sources like fruit and vegetables, I’m not sure why electrolytes would be an issue.
