Getting bloodwork results today.......Tour might be over

-Have been feeling like chit for the last year or so...34 years old.
-Finally went to the doc last week and got a full physical. Blood panel/thyroid, urine, balls checked, etc and I go back today in about 3.5 hrs to get the results of the labs.
-Thinking T or Thyroid are messed up. No/low libido, gym sucks all the time, constant feel of getting weaker, insomnia, the most lazy I've been in my whole life, moody (not like me) lack of give a chit/involvement.
-Who knows, could all be mental but at least I'll know and can move forward from there.

Will report back with results around 1:30 Eastern Standard Time.

In the meantime, lets share stories of similar situations. Give me some hope boyos

Post your TSH, free T3 and free T4.

If your doc didn't check free T3 and T4, find a new doc.

Even if so, that's an easy fix. Creams, pellets, etc. I thought this thread was going to be about like, a cancer diagnosis. That's not to say that Low T doesn't affect people intensely but perspective can help when dealing with these things. Good luck, update us later.

    do you drink beer?

as for thyroid i would say
    no carbs or sugar
    no beer/alchols
    and also avoid foods
    that may cause jitterness
    like bananas/honey it
    may cause adrenal crash and
    nervous breakdown.

    nO COFFE TOO

    Vitamin D
    selenium
    B complex
    fishoil(dha 500)
    Magnesium
    zinc

    they play a role in
    fixing alot of thyroid/adrenal/testis
    enzymes and may help alot.

    also you sound depressive
    hope things get fixed
    take care bud and please
    update

I might have 1 beer every 2-3 months, I already eat pretty well, lower carb, low/no sugar, limit caffeine, I take a multi, fish oil, live on a tropical island so plenty of sun.

How can you determine that I "sound depressive".....genuinely asking. Depression/Anxiety are pretty prevalent on both sides of my family. I start Psych sessions next week.

I went for a jog the night before, nothing crazy. Ate like normal. No food past 8pm, bloods were taken at 11am. Thanks for the heads up.

    no motivation
    no go
    =dark mode
    low dopamine
    low serotonin

    yet you need more
    urine blood work that
    may detect problems in
    B6 metabolism if you are
    depressive , could be also
    from liver detoxification and enzymes
    metabolism/methylation

    infections
    high cytokines
    could also be the cause

I had exactly same symptoms. Ended up being bleeding from stomach "cameron errosions".... has stool samples (no blood), gastroscopy, colonoscopy..... they MISS Cameron errosions 60% of the time. They are slow bleeding errosions from a generaly large hiatal hernia. Had iron deficiency anemia. Took specialists 3 YEARS to find out the cause. Just had surgery to fix it. Check every chit to see it it black, if even one is black in a month, you may have an intermittent bleed from Cameron erosions.

My prediction is everything will be at or very close to the normal range. I rarely see anyone get any actionable information from those tests. My father had a full panel of blood work done, showed everything normal, he was dead from cancer 8 months later.

Whatever is wrong with you will hopefully work itself out but dont expect too much help from the medical community, particularly for the type of vague symptoms you describe.

Would you even be able to tell from that test if your hormones are affecting you? I didn't think testing only total paints much of a picture of anything

I felt just like you said in your OP but all my blood work was fine. T has decreased in the past few years but not so much that I think it's the cause.

I started going to therapy every other week and I feel much better now that I'm getting things off my chest

Biggest fix might be just to fix your sleep. I like doing a sleep reset before a day off. Just stay up all night then go to bed the next day early at like 8 pm then sleep till 6-8 am then go to bed fairly early and try to maintain usual sleep cycle. Use melatonin for a week to help get the cycle started.

    Same question as above.....
Because lack of motivation, low energy and apathy are the biggest depression symptoms. A lot of cases of depression are physiological in origin though, so this doesn't mean a shrink is gonna do you any good.

If you have very low T you'll be depressed and no shrink can fix it

From experience, trust me when I say that your diet and all that garbage people tell you plays almost zero role in your levels.

I was a machine, eating fish and sweet potatoes every night, lifting heavy, eating clean......I got weaker and felt horrible.

    Got my levels checked......awful.

Got on a program.....I can eat like utter trash and drink.....still feel amazing, make gains at age 38. Eating clean makes me feel better, certainly, but it's mostly mental clarity and nothing to do with my physical.
