Allergic Reaction to Yogurt & Casein??

Hello everyone,

So for some reason two days in a row I had an allergic reaction and the only thing I ate on the first night was Chobani's Plain Yogurt with vanilla extract added in and on the second night OP Casein chocolate supreme.

It has been a couple years since I have had these two but I used to eat both every day and had no problems. Does anyone know why now this would be doing this?

First my stomach would hurt then my hands would become insanely itchy and I would get hives on my elbows hands & feet for about an hour. Take benedryl and it would go away. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?? I am fine with getting all protein from meat/chicken but I at least would like to take the casein at night.

I should note that the yogurt with the vanilla extract reaction was a lot stronger than just the casein protein, I have no idea why

Sounds like a dairy allergy or perhaps an allergy to a sweetener or something found in both.

You’re not missing out with not being able to have casein at night, so that might be of some comfort to you, though the cash wasted on a product you can’t use anymore is likely to smart I imagine.

Thanks for the reply, it is just weird that this didn't happened years ago.

I will try to return the protein and I guess stick with cottage cheese before bed.
