replacement spring practicePer the AP: The NCAA's football oversight committee expects to finalize a plan Thursday to allow teams to conduct up to 12 unpadded, slow-speed practices, also know as walk-throughs, during the 14 days before the typical preseason begins in August. Teams will be permitted up to 20 hours per week of what the NCAA calls countable athletically related activities during those extra two weeks, leading into a normal 29-day preseason practice schedule. The walk-throughs will be part of those 20 hours per week, along with weight training, conditioning, film study and meetings. Players will not be permitted to wear pads or helmets during walk-throughs, which cannot exceed one hour per day.

I'm coming to terms with the fact that it's less than a 50/50 chance there is a CFB season starting any time close to sept.
Too much at stake w/ this insane media/ blame everyone for everything world.
Even if the big 12/ SEC tried it out, one outbreak at a campus or 1 football team, it's probably all over.
I really really home i'm wrong.
NFL might be the only league to really figure it out or just say....Fuk it. You wanna get paid? we're playing gamesJust trying hard to not be a fat sack-o-chit.

And might get chit- canned.
Sports and On-stage comedy are some of the final frontiers left.. and they may collapse at some point too w/ every single opinion getting national attention.

To my knowledge there have never been any championship events in Mississippi and likely there were never going to be anyway. It would be like telling someone they'll never get an executive level position when they've been a street sweeper their whole life. Where would you even have a championship game in Mississippi? There are no venues for it.

If you're talking about SEC football players you're not too far off base. One guy I went to college with ended up going pro and I swear the dude could hardly read. He took classes like walking and jogging for 4 years lol. I have no idea how they kept him eligible. Another guy who was a first round draft pick O lineman was in one of my finance classes. He actually tried which I give him props for since he didn't have to but I'd say he was slightly below average for the class when it came to understanding the concepts presented. He went to a pretty good rated public school so it isn't like he was never taught anything before college. During the draft they kept talking about his GPA which made me lol since he obviously didn't earn those grades. He was even a finalist for the William Campbell Trophy which just goes to show what a joke academics are for big time athletes

Boise State announces they are temporarily closing campus facilities due to eight positive or presumed positive COVID-19 cases in the last 48 hours.
Not yet sure if this includes voluntary workouts for student-athletes.

One thing that’s becoming clear: The only way teams are going to avoid outbreaks during the season is if college players don’t be college kids. LSU’s was from guys going to bars, K-State’s from a party.
“Harmless” in June, but it would cost the quarantined two games in season.
