Come on, man. Your are concerned with Georgia opening up against Virginia yet you take Georgia over Florida? You could be right as I don’t know enough about both teams but that statement kinda contradicts itself.
Looking back at the past few years of playoff teams and they are driven by QBs. I really like trask in the sec and I think he’s gonna be the difference maker.

You probably weren't paying attention when Dan Mullen was at MS state, most weren't, but the guy is an absolute quarterback whisperer and changes his offense to suit the strengths of his players. That 08 MS state team that throttled Michigan in the gator bowl had a QB named Chris Relf who was 6'5" 250lbs and legit couldn't throw the ball over 10 yards with any type of accuracy. State offense was some weird single wing type thing where the QB acted as the full back.
You have to be straight garbage tier as a QB to look bad under Mullen which also speaks volumes to how terrible Franks actually is.
You have a good point about Virginia. I don't expect Georgia to lose that game but its still tougher than opening up against Jacksonville State. I agree with you about QB play but I just think Trask isn't as good as Mullen is making him look6'2"

Florida pulls in top 10 classes not Mullen. He was a worse recruiter than Sylvester Croom while at MSU. He was 100000x the coach Croom was but Mullen isn't a good recruiter.
I graduated from MSU and followed Mullen for years. He's an excellent coach and I'm happy he got his dream job. I'm not bitter about him leaving because he obviously had checked out after we got that #1 ranking, especially since we somehow managed to land Mike Leach who I've been a fan of since his Texas Tech days.6'2"

Ed Reed hired by Miami to be in a "Chief of Staff" role.
Not sure what that entails but it is reported as being...tasked with helping Miami coach Manny Diaz in all aspects of the football program, including strategic planning, quality control, operations, player evaluation and player development...
Is this actually going to help clean up the culture of the program or is it just window dressing?http://stackingplates.com

every QB on the team not named King can gtfo, including Tate
window dressing IMO. there have been talks in the last month to hire Alonzo Highsmith from Cleveland in that role, but the AD and bitch ass Diaz fought against it because Zo wasn't coming here to work for them, but over them. in typical fashion, members of the BOT agreed with the AD and Diaz and the deal fell through. I haven't read what Reed's role is as of yet, but I cannot see him coming here to report to Diaz. at worst, this gives the AD and Diaz enough rope to hang themselves-♥♥--♥♥--team misc big c support--♥♥--♥♥--

I know he signed an extension with Iowa State, but hopefully they don’t persuade Matt Campbell to come to MSU. It’s really the only realistic hire that scares me. Luke Fickell, meh. Narduzzi, doesn’t move the needle.
Inb4 Urban Meyer gets hired.
Wish he would stick around longer. Guy got to hang his hat with the rivalry on beating Rich Rod, Hoke, and a fluke play against Harbaugh. Would have loved for him to stay and be in his rightful place for awhile.Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

The only negative of this is that their fans are going to say this debacle a the only reason UM has gained the upper hand in the rivalry again. As if they weren’t a fluke away from 1-4 against Harbaugh and back to being just mediocre. They’ll never admit that they simply filled the void that was there when UM was down, and a little while PSU was down a bit too. Now that both programs are about where they traditionally are, not shockingly so too is MSU.
I wonder if they’d be best off to wait a year and just let the interim thing play out. They need to talk to coaches who have told them no, and find out how much Blackwell and the potential sanctions factored into their decision. If it was heavy, hold off on the search until that plays out. The NCAA is toothless and any penalties won’t be severe anyway. Then the unknown cloud won’t be there and maybe they can attract decent candidates.
If they don’t wait, my guess is MSU will likely end up with Creighton from EMU, who’s a decent coach actually. Or maybe the dude from Ferris, who actually seems like a really good coach.Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

This brings me so much joy every time I see it.
Definitely pumped to have Bo Pelini back as DC. He should have a better defense than what Dave Aranda had. Pelini's defenses were ranked 3rd in his in time at LSU. Aranda's defenses got ****tier each year. PUMPEDAcetylCoA gets reps

Well ****. I was wrong... eh that's not surprising.
Mel Tucker it is. Paying him more than Ryan Day too. Honestly it sucks for him that it's so late in the game. He's not getting his first choice of assistants, even with the bump they gave him to pay for the staff. C'mon please be John L. Smith 2.0
You better hope he makes it through his first season without beheading a ref at mid-field. Pelini is a lunatic. I hope after a couple good seasons at LSU he can be a head coach somewhere again. Preferably somewhere he will play ND a lot, so every year you have a game with him about to explode on one sideline, and Brian Kelly turning into a blueberry on the other sideline.Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.
