David, Benoit's son, interviewed by Van Vliet

I've never seen him speak before let alone open up about his father.

WWE will never touch him. Too much baggage, even though none of it is his fault.

The only possible baggage will be seen through the lens of mainstream media. Wrestling fans will be rooting for the guy.

WWE is a corporate company with sponsors.

Rightly or wrongly, they won’t risk any adverse publicity or want any awkward questions being raised.

He is a bit too shy for his own good.

I don’t See him inheriting his fathers promo ability. Some argued he wasn’t a promo guy but he simply was. Ecw, wcw and even in wwf he was a very capable talker.

Malenko and lance were not talkers.... Benoit was ahead of them ffs. He was not charismaticless either. Having charisma doesn’t mean you talk like the rock.
Brock cannot talk too well but he has the huge it factor and tons charisma.

This David seems awkward and timid in the interview but I wish him luck.

Maybe he can make it in aew or njpw. If he makes himself a big enough name then wwe will take notice.obviously they won’t hire him now but I can see him in wwe only if he makes waves outside of it in other promotions.

He's pretty public about his opinion on the WWE. He wants to go to AEW.

Will never happen. He comes across as way too timid and according to some he's flaked out on training more than once.

IIRC there was a story about that last year.
